TCL Thunderbird Launches Q7 27″ 2K 240Hz QD-MiniLED

TCL's sub-brand FFalcon Thunderbird has launched a new gaming monitor, the Q7, in China. Here are its main features:

FFALCON Thunderbird Q7 Specifications:

The Q7 is equipped with a 27-inch FAST HVA panel that uses eight-channel AM-driven MiniLED and quantum dot technology. It boasts a resolution of 2560×1440 and a 240Hz refresh rate, perfect for both gamers and professionals.

The monitor supports 1152 local dimming zones, offering a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and a static contrast ratio of 2500:1. These features ensure quick backlight response and flicker-free performance, with 16-bit DC pure direct current dimming.

Enhanced Display and Color Accuracy:

With a peak brightness of 1600 nits and VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification, the Q7 delivers outstanding HDR content, featuring low black levels as low as 0.001 nits. The monitor covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 99% of the sRGB color gamut, with a Delta E value of less than 2, ensuring precise color accuracy, ideal for designers and content creators.

The Q7 also has a 1ms GTG response time, minimizing motion blur for smoother visuals. It's compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync, which helps in synchronizing refresh rates to avoid screen tearing and stuttering.

Connectivity and User-Friendly Features:

The monitor includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DP 1.4 port, and a headphone jack, making it highly versatile for both PCs and gaming consoles. It also features a five-in-one joystick button for easy control.

Additional user-friendly features include a low blue light eye protection mode, reducing eye strain during long sessions. It supports PIP/PBP multi-screen functionality, allowing users to display content from two different sources at once. The Q7 also comes with a retractable headphone holder and an adjustable stand, which can be tilted, rotated, and adjusted in height for better ergonomics.

Pricing and Availability:

The Thunderbird Q7 gaming monitor is now available for pre-order on JD.com at a special introductory price of 1999 Yuan ($282).
