TCL has unveiled its mid-year market performance report, showcasing robust shipment figures across the board. Notably, mini-LED and QLED TVs have seen remarkable growth, with year-on-year increases of over 100% and 64%, respectively. According to the latest report, TCL's shipments have risen by 10% year-on-year for the first half of 2024, amounting to 12.52 million TVs shipped globally during this period.
The impressive shipment statistics underscore TCL's position as a leading global brand with a positive future outlook. Compared to the first half of 2023, shipments grew by approximately 9.2%. The second quarter of 2024 was particularly strong, contributing to 53.4% of the total shipments for the first half of the year. This marked a 12.9% improvement over Q2 2023 figures. Additionally, TCL noted a steady increase in the average size of its shipped TVs, reaching 51.7 inches in the first half of 2024.
Significant Growth in Larger TV Models
TCL reported a 14.5% year-on-year increase in shipments of TVs sized 65 inches or more and a 34.5% rise for TVs 75 inches or larger. The company also highlighted substantial growth in global shipments of its mini-LED and QLED TVs, which surged by 122.4% and 64.4% year-on-year, respectively, in H1 2024.
