The new Mi Home Water Purifier 2 1600G isn’t exactly a countertop unit with an easy-to-fill tank, but is instead largely designed to be permanently integrated into a kitchen. The system includes a faucet and a purification unit that can be concealed in kitchen cabinets. Unlike a typical single-lever mixer, this faucet features touch buttons and a display, allowing users to dispense a precise amount of water at the touch of a button. Additionally, the display shows the total dissolved solids (TDS) level in the water. TDS serves as an indicator of a water filter’s performance, and a sharp increase in this value suggests that a filter change may be necessary.
Filtration Method and Water Quality
The Mi Home Water Purifier 2 1600G uses reverse osmosis for filtration. This method is designed to remove a wide variety of substances from water, including potentially harmful ones such as heavy metals and organic pollutants. Forcing water through the extremely fine membrane used in reverse osmosis can also effectively reduce pathogens.
