We previously shared news about the Intel-based Tuxedo InfinityBook Max 16 a few months ago, which boasted the robust Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU for excellent multithreading capabilities. Now, Tuxedo has also released an AMD version, equipped with capable APUs from AMD.

    AMD Power Options

This new model features the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, which includes 12 cores and 24 threads. The Strix Point APU is expected to perform similarly to the Core Ultra 9 285H in synthetic multithreading tests. However, the HX 370 doesn’t stand up against the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX found in the Intel version, as the latter surpasses the former by a significant margin of over 84% in Cinebench 2024.

    Affordable Choices Available

For users who don’t require high-end power, there are also more affordable options with the 8-core AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 and the 10-core AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 APUs. While all AMD APUs come with decent integrated graphics, the InfinityBook Max 16 also offers Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop and RTX 5070 Laptop GPU choices, ensuring top-tier performance for 1080p and QHD gaming.

    Display and Features

The laptop features a 16-inch screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, which many prefer for its enhanced vertical space. Tuxedo claims that it covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color range and can achieve a peak brightness of 500 nits. It remains to be seen if Tuxedo can back up these claims. Regardless, the display’s remarkable 300 Hz refresh rate is sure to delight gamers.

Other impressive specs of the Tuxedo InfinityBook Max 16 include up to 128 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, a 99 Wh battery rated for 7 hours of usage, dual M.2 2280 slots for storage options, and a solid variety of ports listed below:

The Tuxedo InfinityBook Max 16 laptop begins at €1,470 or $1,705 for the entry-level model, which includes 16 GB of RAM, the Ryzen AI 7 350 APU, an RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD (with the Samsung 990 Pro currently priced at $200 on Amazon). The premium variant featuring the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU and RTX 5070 Laptop GPU starts at $1,848.
