New Galaxy S27 Models Spotted in Database
Just under 14 days ago, the first mention of the Galaxy S27 series appeard in the IMEI database back then only the entry-level model with the model number SM-S952U was found, but now the remaining Galaxy S27 models have also showed up in the GSMA database. This means that Samsung will not just release three but four Galaxy S27 variants in 2027. Two of them, similar to the base Galaxy S27 model, are intended for the U.S. market and carry the model numbers SM-S956U for the Galaxy S27 Plus and SM-S958U for the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
Global Galaxy S27 Pro With Dual-SIM
It’s quite interesting though that the new model number SM-S957B/DS points to a global Galaxy S27 Pro with dual-SIM capability, wich can be seen as a sort of initial confirmation of a compact Galaxy S27 flagship with many “Ultra” features for international markets like Europe. As of today, June 25, at the latest, we can say with a fair degree of certainty that the rumors about a Galaxy S27 Pro in 2027 have some truth to them, however, features and specs are not confirmed by the GSMA database.
Compact Design and Missing Features
As things stand today, the new Galaxy S27 Pro model appears to be a more compact version of the Galaxy S27 Ultra, though it’s likely to be missing a few features. For example, the S Pen probably won’t be included—at least, there won’t be a slot for it. At 6.47 inches, the display is likely to fall roughly between the compact 6.3-inch Galaxy S27 and the 6.7-inch Galaxy S27 Plus, making it significantly more portable than the Galaxy S27 Ultra, which measures nearly 6.9 inches. Earlier leaks also suggested the same main camera and ultra-wide-angle camera as in the Galaxy S27 Ultra; only the telephoto might be less powerful compared to Samsungs Ultra flagship.
Additional Features and Chipset Details
The Privacy Display feature will also be available in 2027 apparently for both the Pro and Ultra flagships of 2027, which likely also applies for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, while the Exynos 2700 is expected in the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+. The pricing structure for the S27 lineup remains unconfirmed, but based on previous generations the Ultra model is expected to start around $1,299 while the Pro model may come in at roughly $1,099. Battery capacities are also unconfirmed but the Pro model is rumored to pack a 4,500 mAh cell, compared to the 5,000 mAh in the Ultra.
