HP has stealthily launched its keyboard-PC hybrid in various regions. Unveiled during CES 2026 in January, the EliteBoard G1a is only slightly bigger than compact wireless keyboards such as the MX Keys Mini (currently priced at $99.99 on Amazon). Moreover, it boasts much more power than similar gadgets like the Raspberry Pi 500.

    Availability Status

At first, HP announced that the EliteBoard G1a would be ready for purchase this month. Presently, the company describes the device as ‘coming soon’ in Europe, the UK, and the US. Nevertheless, it has already made the mini-PC available in some East Asian regions like Hong Kong and Japan.

    Price Cuts and Specs

While confirming the technical specifications, HP has significantly reduced the price of the EliteBoard G1a in both markets. For example, HP Japan has slashed the price by more than 50% for most models. The EliteBoard G1a is currently priced at HKD 11,999 (~$1,530) and JPY 232,800 (~$1,467), taxes included.

In exchange for that cost, HP provides a Ryzen AI 5 330 processor featuring 4 Zen 5 cores and a Radeon 820M integrated GPU. This setup also includes 16 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, with 256 GB of storage in Japan and 512 GB in Hong Kong. Each model comes equipped with a 32 Wh battery that supports 65 W charging but has only dual USB 4 ports.
