Now, the Redmi Pad 2 9.7 has reached Czechia, France, Germany and Poland.

    To recap, the Redmi Pad 2 9.7 is much smaller than the Redmi Pad 2 Pro (curr. $299 on Amazon) that we reviewed in December 2025. Equipped with a 9.7-inch and 120 Hz display, the former also features a 7,600 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset within a 7.4 mm thick frame. Moreover, the Redmi Pad 2 9.7 weighs 406 g and comes pre-loaded with HyperOS 3.

    Model Variants and Availability

    None of these countries have received Xiaomi’s dedicated 4G cellular variant, though. Instead, the Redmi Pad 2 9.7 is available exclusively as a Wi-Fi-only model with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. For some reason, Xiaomi restricts Poland to the tablet’s lesser memory configuration. Conversely, the tablet can be purchased in Dark Grey or Silver across all four countries.

Furthermore, the Pad 8 Pro might also be offered in other regions with options for 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM, linked to 512 GB of storage as well.

    Competition Analysis

    In terms of performance, it closely matches the Chinese version of the Pad 8 Pro we reviewed late last year. Thus, single-core performance falls just below that of other tablets powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, such as the Oppo Pad 4 Pro and RedMagic Astra. On the other hand, when it comes to multi-core and GPU performance, the Pad 8 Pro stands strong against rival tablets.

    Future Release

    Xiaomi has yet to announce a global launch date for the Pad 8 Pro, and the same uncertainty surrounds the Xiaomi 17 smartphone series. Nevertheless, it appears that the Xiaomi 17 might be nearing an international release, especially following a recent leak from a European retailer.

This means it shares a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset with the Xiaomi 15T Pro and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and S11 (currently priced at $859.99 on Amazon).

    Additionally, the Pad Mini features an 8.8-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio that boasts a resolution of 3,008 x 1,880 pixels, delivering 403 PPI, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and a peak brightness of 700 nits. Furthermore, the tablet is equipped with a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera, alongside a 7,500 mAh battery that supports fast charging at 67 W.
