New Lecoo Laptop Hits China Market

Lenovo has introduced a new Lecoo-branded laptop in China, the Lecoo 14 with the AMD Ryzen 7 170. This isn’t a brand-new APU, though. Instead, it’s a rebrand of the original Ryzen 7 6800HS from the Rembrandt lineup.

    Performance and Specs

This Zen 3+ AMD APU features an 8-core CPU and the Radeon 680M. The iGPU isn’t as powerful as the Radeon 890M, but its still good enough for casual gaming at 1080p resolution with the visual settings turned down.

On the Lenovo laptop, it’s paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD. There’s a 14-inch display on the front, and its an IPS screen with 100% sRGB coverage, 300 nits peak brightness rating, and 2240×1400 pixels resolution.

    Design and Battery Life

The laptop’s thin and light design is another highlight. As Lenovo notes, the Lecoo 14 with the Ryzen 7 170 measures as thin as 16.8mm and weighs 1.15kg (around 2.54lbs). A 55Wh battery powers the internals of the laptop, and it has support for 65W PD fast charging.

    Ports and Connectivity

The laptop’s port configuration is decent as well. Specifically, it has the following ports:

    • Two USB-C ports with DisplayPort and Power Delivery
    • One USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port
    • One USB-A 2.0 port
    • One HDMI 2.0 port
    • A 3.5mm audio combo jack

    Pricing and Availibility

In China, the Ryzen 7 170-equipped Lecoo 14 costs CNY 4,499, about $662. Lenovo hasn’t shared anything on the international availability yet, but its worth noting that Lecoo-branded products don’t usually see a wide global launch.
