Poco X7 Pro Certification Reveals Details, Iron Man Edition Returns

Poco X7 Pro is set to join the mid-range X series and has received several certifications, indicating it will soon be available worldwide. Its presence is noted in the FCC, TDRA, NBTC, and IMEI databases, revealing key details about its RAM, storage choices, and design. Adding to the excitement, an exclusive Iron Man Edition of the Poco X7 Pro is reportedly being developed, hinting at a partnership with Marvel Comics.

    Certification Highlights

The Poco X7 Pro has gained significant buzz with its successful certifications across the globe. Codenamed 2412DPC0AG, it has appeared on the FCC database, showcasing two memory variants—8GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB. The rear of the phone combines glass and polyurethane, giving it a high-quality look and feel. Connectivity options include GSM/WCDMA/LTE/5G NR, Wi-Fi 6, GNSS, NFC, and Bluetooth that supports Basic Rate (BR), Enhanced Data Rate (EDR), and Low Energy (LE).

Moreover, the Poco X7 Pro has received approval from Indonesia’s TKDN certification authority, achieving a compliance rate of 38.20 percent, surpassing the required 35 percent. This suggests it’s all set for the Indonesian market, likely by early 2025. The IMEI certification also confirms its global launch and hints at the Iron Man Edition, although it’s not clear if it will be available everywhere.

    Anticipated Features

Rumored features for the Poco X7 Pro include a Dimensity 8400 chipset, promising solid performance. It’s expected to come with a 6.8-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate, all protected by Gorilla Glass. The battery is anticipated to be 5,000mAh with support for 100W fast charging.

In terms of photography, the Poco X7 Pro is likely to have a 108MP main sensor and a 32MP selfie camera. As for software, it will reportedly run on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0. However, there are indications that it may lack IP rating certification and FM radio, which could be a letdown for some users. There are also rumors that this phone might be a rebrand of the upcoming Redmi Turbo 4. You can learn more about Redmi’s ongoing rebranding here.

    Global Launch Timeline

The Poco X7 Pro is expected to be launched globally in the first quarter of 2025, though it remains uncertain whether the Iron Man Edition will debut at the same time.

Poco X7 Pro Iron Man Edition Leaked; Launch Expected Soon

This week, Poco is set to launch the Poco M7 Pro 5G and the Poco C75 5G smartphones in India. Additionally, it looks like the brand is gearing up to introduce the Poco X7 series of smartphones for various regions. Recent reports indicate the presence of models such as the Poco X7 Neo, the Poco X7, and the Poco X7 Pro. A new update suggests that there will also be a special edition of the X7 Pro.

Poco X7 Pro and Iron Man Edition Approved

The NBTC in Thailand has given the green light to the Poco X7, X7 Pro, and the Iron Man Edition of the Poco X7 Pro, as shown in the images above. Both models share the same 2412DPC0AG model number.

It’s likely that both devices will come with identical specifications, but the Iron Man Edition may boast enhanced RAM and storage options. This model could potentially be a limited-edition smartphone featuring an Iron Man-themed user interface, accessories, and a unique packaging.

    Geekbench Listings and Specs

The Poco X7 Neo and X7 have recently been spotted on Geekbench’s database. It looks like these phones might be powered by the Dimensity 7025-Ultra and Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipsets, respectively. This indicates that the Poco devices could either be rebranded or slightly modified versions of the Redmi Note 14 5G and the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G.

Last week, leaked renders showed the design of the Poco X7 and X7 Pro. It’s rumored that the X7 Pro will be the first device to feature the new HyperOS 2.0 experience right out of the box.

    Future Predictions for Poco Devices

To recap, the Redmi K70e was launched as the world’s first phone with the Dimensity 8300 chipset in China back in November 2023. This device was later rebranded for the global market as the Poco X6 Pro. There are speculations that the upcoming Redmi Turbo 4 for the Chinese market may be the first to sport the new Dimensity 8400 SoC. Most likely, the Poco X7 Pro could turn out to be a rebranded version of the Turbo 4.

With the NBTC certification now obtained for the Poco X7 Pro models, it appears that the X7 series may officially launch in January in Thailand and other regions.

POCO X7 Pro: First HyperOS 2.0 Phone Launching in India

Xiaomi is developing a new smartphone called the POCO X7 Pro. This device is part of the mid-range category and there are reports indicating that it could be the first smartphone in India to run on HyperOS 2.0. The Xiaomi 15 was the initial phone to feature this custom skin based on Android 15, but it seems the POCO X7 Pro may take that title in India.

    What to Look Forward To

According to a report from SmartPrix, which cites a source familiar with the situation, the Xiaomi 15 has just been introduced in China with HyperOS 2.0, while its launch in India is anticipated around March 2025. This suggests that the POCO X7 Pro could arrive in India before the Xiaomi 15. To give some context, the POCO X6 Pro was launched in India in January 2024, so it’s reasonable to think that the POCO X7 Pro could follow a similar schedule.

Potential Specs of the POCO X7 Pro

From what’s been gathered, the POCO X7 might actually be a renamed version of the Redmi Note 14 Pro. In essence, it could be a rebranded Redmi Note 14 Pro+ model. Xiaomi has already announced the launch of the Redmi Note 14 series for December, so it wouldn’t be unexpected if the POCO X7 and POCO X7 Pro hit the Indian market shortly after, possibly around the same time. Historically, Xiaomi has been known to release different versions of the same phone under its various sub-brands with minor tweaks.

If indeed the POCO X7 Pro is a rebranded Note 14 Pro+, we can expect it to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display boasting a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the back, it may sport a camera setup of 50MP (Main) + 50MP (Telephoto) + 8MP (Ultrawide). Similar to the Note 14 Pro+, the POCO X7 Pro is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC as well. Furthermore, it’s expected to house a substantial 6,200mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging.
