Amazfit Launches Up Earbuds: Open-Ear, Noise Reduction & Fitness

Amazfit has introduced the Amazfit Up open-ear earbuds, designed specifically for fitness enthusiasts and those seeking daily convenience. Unlike standard earbuds, the Amazfit Up features a unique clip-on design that keeps the ear canal open, ensuring both comfort and awareness of what’s happening around you.

Features of Amazfit Up Open-Ear Earbuds

These earbuds utilize an AI algorithm to minimize background noise during phone calls, enhancing clarity even in noisy environments. When linked with an Amazfit smartwatch, users can receive real-time updates on their workouts and turn-by-turn directions.

Each earbud weighs just 5 grams and has an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. They are compatible with Bluetooth 5.3 and support Bluetooth Multipoint, enabling simultaneous connections to two devices. The battery life extends to 6 hours on a single charge, with an additional 18 hours provided by the charging case, which takes 2 hours to fully recharge via USB-C. The earbuds are available in black, featuring a textured finish, and come with a physical button for easy control of playback, calls, and voice assistants.

    Pricing and Availability

The Amazfit Up is available for $49.99/£44.90/€49.90. Up until October 27, customers in selected markets can receive the earbuds for free when purchasing an Amazfit Balance or T-Rex 3 smartwatch.

In other news, Nothing has recently released its own open-ear style earbuds known as the Nothing Ear (Open). These earbuds come equipped with a curved headband for a secure fit and showcase the brand’s unique transparent design. They also have an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance and are fitted with 14.2mm titanium-coated drivers along with a ‘Bass Enhance’ algorithm. Additionally, the earbuds feature AI-driven Clear Voice 3.0 for clearer calls, a Sound Seal System to avoid audio leakage, and Bluetooth 5.3 for dual-device connectivity.

  • Nothing’s First Open-Ear TWS Earbuds Leaked Before Launch

Nothing’s First Open-Ear TWS Earbuds Leaked Before Launch

Nothing is entering the earbud market with a new product: open-air earbuds. A report from WinFuture has confirmed this and includes new images that showcase the design of these true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds.

Details on the Nothing Ear (Open)

The Nothing Ear (Open) are set to be officially revealed tomorrow, September 24th. These will be the company’s first open-ear earbuds, featuring a design that diverges slightly from their earlier models. The leaked images display a design common in the open-ear category, featuring a wraparound band that likely fits around the back of the ear. The speaker is expected to house a large 14.2mm driver, aimed at delivering quality sound. This design resembles those seen in products from brands like SoundCore and JBL.

    Battery Life and Performance

In terms of battery life, these earbuds are projected to provide 8 hours of playback from a single charge. When used with the charging case, this total is said to extend to 30 hours. However, this represents a minor reduction compared to the standard Nothing Ear 2, which can deliver up to 36 hours of playback time. Given that these are open-ear earbuds, they probably won’t feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) support. This is because open-ear designs rest outside or only partially within the ear canal, allowing ambient sounds to pass through easily.

    Additional Features and Pricing

The charging case appears to be slim yet wide, as seen in the leaked images. Each earbud is reported to weigh only 8.1 grams, and both the earbuds and the case have an IP54 splash-proof rating. Notably, there is ongoing support for ChatGPT when connected to a Nothing Phone. Furthermore, the leak suggests there will be a “Bass Enhance” mode, which may attract fans of bass-heavy music.

The pricing for these earbuds remains undisclosed. However, with the launch occurring tomorrow, the details will soon be revealed.

    Evolution of Design

The Comfo Fit II retains the unique design elements of its predecessor while maintaining an identical price point, offering consumers a blend of familiarity and innovation.

    Specifications Overview

Diverging from conventional earbuds that snugly fit within the ear canal, the Comfo Fit II features a dual-part design. The earbuds leverage Bluetooth 5.3 technology for seamless connectivity and incorporate a sizable 18x11mm "track-shaped" speaker unit for audio output. Internally, Edifier has integrated a specialized structure to reduce sound leakage, utilizing a PU and fiber paper composite diaphragm to facilitate clear and balanced audio reproduction.

    Enhanced Listening Experience

Introducing "dynamic audio compensation," the Comfo Fit II is engineered to enhance low-frequency sounds. Users can further tailor their audio experience by choosing from various sound modes accessible through the Edifier Connect app.

The battery life of the Comfo Fit II is noteworthy, with Edifier claiming up to 40 hours of playback time when the buds are coupled with the charging case. Additionally, the earbuds support quick charging, providing 3 hours of listening time with just a 15-minute charge. The Comfo Fit II is also rated IP55, offering protection against dust and water splashes.

    Price and Availability
