  • Galaxy S26 Edge Renders Reveal Stunning Design Concepts

Galaxy S26 Edge Renders Reveal Stunning Design Concepts

    Key Takeaways

    1. Recent leaks show official renders of the Galaxy S26 Edge, indicating a major design change for Samsung.
    2. The back of the Galaxy S26 Edge features a wide camera island with two cameras on the left, similar to the design of the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro models.
    3. The front of the device includes a centrally placed selfie camera with thin and consistent bezels and rounded corners.
    4. The design of the Galaxy S26 Edge is more curved on the back compared to the Galaxy S25 Edge.
    5. The Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch in January next year, with more leaks anticipated before its release.

Following recent online sightings of dummy models for the Galaxy S26 series, a well-known leaker has posted what appear to be official renders of the Galaxy S26 Edge. These images confirm a significant design shift that Samsung seems to be pursuing, resembling what Apple is expected to unveil with its iPhone 17 series. This change is certainly a fresh approach compared to Samsung’s longstanding, simple designs for its flagship line.

    Design Details

The renders originate from OnLeaks, in partnership with Android Headlines, showcasing various angles of the purported Galaxy S26 Edge. Notably, the back features a camera island that stretches across the full width of the device, with two cameras positioned on the far left. This design mirrors what was seen in the dummy units. As anticipated, the power and volume buttons are located on the right side.

    Comparisons with iPhone 17

This design bears a striking resemblance to the rumored iPhone 17 Pro models. In fact, dbrand, a well-known manufacturer of phone skins and cases, has unveiled designs for its iPhone 17 series cases, which effectively confirm the upcoming phone’s designs ahead of the launch on September 9. The Pro and Pro Max versions showcase a prominent camera island that occupies the top third of the phone, mirroring the design direction of the Galaxy S26 Edge.

    Front View Features

Returning to the renders, we can see a centrally placed selfie camera on the front. The bezels are notably thin and consistent, while the corners are rounded, similar to those on the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, the edges on the back appear to be slightly more curved. It’s important to note that these are not final product designs, as highlighted by the publication.

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to make its debut in January next year, but numerous leaks have already surfaced, and more are likely to follow as we approach the year’s end.

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Series: Dimensions, Dummies, and Protectors

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series: Dimensions, Dummies, and Protectors

A few weeks back, a leaker known as @OnLeaks shared the anticipated design of the Galaxy S24’s successors (Galaxy S25 | Galaxy S25+ | Galaxy S25 Ultra) based on CAD models. We had some rough dimensions earlier, but now we are receiving more accurate details thanks to a source from the South Korean Naver forum. Recently, all the dimensions for the three Galaxy S25 models were posted there:

    Comparing the Models

The images below illustrate how the three Galaxy S25 models stack up against each other. They show aluminum dummies that are based on the CAD models, laid flat next to one another, and also provide a direct side comparison. The slightly bigger Ultra version, which features rounded corners compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, is easily distinguishable.

    Design Insights

While the dummies offer a decent idea of how the devices will feel in hand, they give limited hints about the front design. Previous leaks suggest that the front will have thinner edges. As of now, there are numerous display protection products available that show how nearly edgeless the Galaxy S25 and particularly the Galaxy S25 Ultra are expected to appear. It’s important to mention that these tempered glass accessories lack a bezel, which has been further minimized in the Galaxy S25 series than in earlier models.

  • Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra Renders Might Be Slightly Off

Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra Renders Might Be Slightly Off

Recently, we caught a sneak peek of the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra through some renderings. However, a well-regarded source is questioning the full accuracy of these initial images.

Ice Universe, a renowned tech insider, took to China’s Weibo platform to dissect the specifics. They compared these renderings with CAD files of the earlier Galaxy S24 Plus to make the analysis more comprehensible.

    CAD File Limitations

According to Ice Universe, these CAD files primarily outline the phone’s size and basic layout of components, but they omit significant design features like bezels, the display, and the earpiece.

In the shared CAD file, the Galaxy S24 Plus is depicted from the front, but elements such as bezels are not mentioned. The CAD file also shows the camera’s position on the back but leaves out texture details within the camera markings.

    Render Accuracy and Speculation

The renders we’ve observed for the upcoming Samsung flagships originate from similar CAD files provided to tipsters like OnLeaks by industry insiders. Although these files offer a basic idea of the phone’s design, they lack key details like bezels, colors, and finer design features.

Ice Universe points out that fellow leaker OnLeaks utilizes information from older Samsung models to predict the design of the new phone.

The tipster particularly critiques the Galaxy S25 Ultra renderings co-created by Android Headlines and OnLeaks, suggesting that the camera ring design might be inspired by the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and may not represent the final product. They also imply that details like antenna line placement and phone color are conjectural.

    Modified Renderings

To illustrate these inconsistencies, Ice Universe even shared altered versions of the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 renderings.

Their modifications feature a more refined camera ring design, minimized display bezels, and a barely noticeable earpiece—details that were not immediately visible in the original leaks.

  • Google Pixel 9 Leaked Renders: No Periscope Lens, XL Model Returns

Google Pixel 9 Leaked Renders: No Periscope Lens, XL Model Returns

Earlier in January this year, a sneak peek at Google's Pixel 9 and 9 Pro smartphones was unveiled through leaked renders by reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (Onleaks). However, a recent update reveals a slight twist in the naming scheme. The standard and pro models previously showcased are now set to hit the market as the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL, respectively, reviving the XL designation last seen on the Pixel 4 years ago.

The Rebranding: Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL

This rebranding has raised speculation regarding the existence of a standard Pixel 9. Recent leaks indeed confirm the presence of the standard model in the lineup.

Design and Features: Pixel 9 Details

Leaked renders of the Google Pixel 9 showcase a design akin to the Pro and Pro XL versions. The device appears compact with a square-edged design, featuring a flat frame and curved corners. Noteworthy is the rear panel housing a prominent pill-shaped camera setup that differs from its predecessors by not extending to the corners.

The Pixel 9 boasts a centered punch-hole cutout display encircled by symmetrical bezels on all sides. A key disparity between the standard and pro iterations lies in the former's marginally smaller 6.03-inch screen size compared to the 6.1 inches on the latter. Additionally, the standard model will sport a dual-camera setup and miss out on a periscope lens present in the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL.

According to Onleaks, the Pixel 9 is anticipated to measure 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm, expanding to 12mm with the rear camera bump.
