    8BitDo is set to launch its first controller inspired by the Nintendo 64 later today. At the same time, the company has updated its Retro Mechanical Keyboard, which has been available in the form of the Commodore 64 since spring for a price of $89.99 on Amazon.

    New Best Buy Exclusive Edition

    This latest version is a special Best Buy Exclusive Edition, which can be purchased both online and in-store. However, it’s important to note that this release is exclusive to the US market. In contrast, Best Buy Canada offers earlier models of the Retro Mechanical Keyboard. According to 8BitDo’s teaser images, the new edition comes with Dual Super Button and Super Stick accessories all in one package.

    For reference, 8BitDo usually sells the Super Stick separately for $14.99. Regardless, the Best Buy Exclusive Edition is priced just $10 higher than the normal versions.     Analogue has at last revealed the launch information for its highly anticipated Nintendo 64 remake. Just to summarize, Analogue initially hinted at its FPGA-based console last year, showcasing it alongside a controller from 8BitDo. Following the announcement of Analogue 3D today, 8BitDo has now introduced its matching controller.

    Controller Compatibility

    The 8BitDo 64 controller is crafted specifically for the Analogue 3D but boasts Bluetooth capability, similar to other 8BitDo controllers like the Ultimate 2C (currently priced at $29.99 on Amazon). This means it will work with multiple systems, not just the Analogue 3D. 8BitDo even promotes the 64 controller as a perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch, especially while enjoying N64 Online games.

    In essence, the 8BitDo 64 reimagines the buttons of the N64 controller in a more contemporary design.
