    Minisforum has launched a new budget-friendly mini PC called the UN150P. It is powered by the recently released Intel N150 CPU from the Twin Lake series. This isn’t the first device to use this chip; similar mini PCs from Beelink and Acemagic were released in December of last year.

    Design and Features

    The Minisforum UN150P isn’t significantly different from the Acemagic V1 or Beelink EQ14 (current price $189 on Amazon). However, it features a stylish chassis that the company claims is small enough to fit in most environments. Additionally, the new mini PC incorporates what Minisforum refers to as “cold wave cooling,” which aims to optimize the performance of the Intel N150 while maintaining a quiet operation.

    Another standout feature of the Minisforum UN150P is its extensive set of connectivity options. It includes:

    The Chinese brand Morefine has launched a new compact desktop computer. The S800 is quite small, measuring only 5.9 x 5.8 x 2.2 inches, and it has a unique chassis design. The top part of the case features a striking logo and design, giving it a futuristic, cyberpunk appearance.

    Every version of the S800 comes with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor. While it lacks a built-in graphics card, users have the option to connect an external GPU. This can be done through USB 4, though it’s important to mention that this method doesn’t provide the same level of graphics performance as the stronger OCuLink connection.

    Storage and Memory Options

    This mini PC is designed with two memory slots that can support up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5,600 MHz. Unusually, it can hold two M.2 2280 SSDs, both utilizing four PCIe 4.0 lanes for connectivity. There’s also room for a 2.5-inch SSD that can be up to 0.27 inches thick, making it simple to upgrade storage capacity.

    Connectivity Features

    For external storage, users can take advantage of USB 3.0 connections, as the S800 includes two USB 3.0 ports and four USB 2.0 ports. Additionally, one of the two Ethernet ports offers data transmission rates of 2.5 Gbit/s. For video output, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 are available as options. The device also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

    The Morefine S800 is available for pre-order directly from the company, starting at a price of $659. Customers can purchase the mini PC in a barebone setup, meaning it will arrive without RAM or SSD. Shipping is anticipated to begin in mid-February.

For instance, Acemagic has recently unveiled a new computer named the FA3, which is powered by an AMD APU. More specifically, this model runs on an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, a robust processor featuring 12 cores and 24 threads.

    Integrated Features

    This chipset includes both a graphics card and an NPU. The NPU is optimized for enhancing AI applications and can achieve performance up to 50 TOPS. While the CPU and GPU can also handle AI tasks together, this combination is not as effective, yet it can still reach 80 TOPS.

    Efficient Cooling System

    The Chinese manufacturer promotes the efficient cooling features of the FA3 mini PC. It has heat pipes and two fans inside, which help manage heat. Both the processor and SSD are actively cooled to avoid thermal throttling.

    Memory and Connectivity

    This mini PC can support up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM with speeds reaching 5,600 MHz. As usual, it comes with an M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe SSD. Regarding connectivity, the F3A mini PC provides HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C, and DisplayPort 2.0, all of which are capable of video output. Of course, the USB Type-C port is also useful for data transfer. Additionally, two Ethernet ports support 2.5 Gbit/s.

    RGB lighting is also part of the package, but Acemagic hasn’t revealed an official launch date or pricing information yet. However, we anticipate that the brand will offer early-bird discounts when preorders for the latest device begin.

    Morefine has introduced the MS6 Plus mini-PC, which is impressively small, even for mini-PCs, and can easily fit in your hand. It has dimensions of just 72 x 72 x 42 mm (2.8 x 2.8 x 1.7 in) and weighs only 190 g (6.7 oz). This little device comes with an Intel N150 processor. While it’s a current-gen chip, it doesn’t offer high performance. It has four cores that can reach speeds of up to 3.6 GHz, but it doesn’t support Hyper-Threading, so it can only handle four threads at a time. That said, it should work well for basic tasks like office applications and digital signage.

    RAM and Storage Options

    As is common in ultra-compact systems, the RAM is soldered in place and cannot be upgraded. The M6S Plus comes with a decent 12 GB of LPDDR5 memory that operates at 4,800 MHz. Instead of eMMC storage, this mini-PC allows for one M.2 2242 SSD with a maximum capacity of two terabytes, which can connect via NVMe (and thus PCIe) or SATA.

    Connectivity Features

    You can expand the storage using a microSD card if you need more space. The M6S Plus is equipped with an HDMI 2.0 port and a USB-C DisplayPort, allowing for 4K video output. It also has three USB 3.2 Type-A ports for connecting peripherals and a Gigabyte Ethernet port. Powering the system is done through a USB-C port, which requires a USB PD charger that is rated at 36 watts or higher.

    This mini PC has a sturdy CNC-machined aluminum frame, weighing only 0.66 kg, and its small size (13 cm x 13 cm x 6 cm) makes it portable and easy to save space. The AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS processor is built on the advanced Zen 4 architecture. This powerful processor offers 8 cores and 16 threads, with a peak clock speed of 4.9 GHz, providing impressive computing performance.

    The GEM 12 Max includes Radeon 780M integrated graphics, which is based on RDNA3 architecture and has 12 GPU cores.     We previously shared information about the GMKtec Evo-X1 HX 370 in November 2024. Now, there’s a new model variant of this mini PC. While it doesn’t change much from the earlier versions, it does offer a lot more memory. Specifically, this model features 64GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Currently, this version is being sold for $1,029, while its regular price is set at $1,699. It’s uncertain if GMKtec will ever revert to the manufacturer’s suggested retail price for this new mini PC.

    Specs and Design

    This mini computer has the dimensions of 110.19 x 107.3 x 63.2 millimeters and is driven by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, which boasts 12 cores and an AI computing capacity of 50 TOPs. It comes equipped with an integrated AMD Radeon 890M graphics chip and supports external GPUs through OCuLink. There are two PCIe 4.0 slots designed for full-sized M.2 2280 modules, and external hard drives can be connected via USB 4. This same port can also transfer video, but the GMKtec Evo-X1 also includes HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1.

    Connectivity Options

    Additionally, on the front side, there are two USB 3.2 ports supporting 10 Gbit/s, and a 3.5mm headphone jack is also present. The A6 comes equipped with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM (consisting of two 16 GB SODIMMs) and includes a 1 TB NVMe PCIe Gen 4 x4 SSD. There’s also the option to add a 2.5-inch SATA drive for more storage space.

    In terms of connectivity, the A6 offers a solid selection of ports. The front panel includes two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports and a headset jack, while the left side has an SD card slot.     As with many Geekom mini desktops, the A6 is easy to open, giving users quick access to the 2.5-inch SATA drive bay, the M.2 2280 NVMe slot, the wireless card (which is a MediaTek MT7922 supporting WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2), and the two DDR5 SODIMM slots. To reach the CPU and integrated GPU for any repasting, users will need to disassemble further.

    The A6 is quite compact, with dimensions of 112.4 x 112.4 x 37 mm (4.43 x 4.43 x 1.46 in). Like other models from Geekom, it includes a VESA mount, allowing users to attach it to the rear of a compatible monitor.

It is powered by an Intel N150 processor, which is somewhat limited in performance. However, the G9 is not aimed at gamers or users needing high-demand multimedia capabilities. Instead, its primary focus is on network file transfers and handling data-heavy tasks. The device is equipped with 12GB of 4800MHz LPDDR5 RAM, along with 64GB of EMMC storage.

    Compact Design

    From the images, it’s evident that traditional magnetic hard drives aren’t compatible with the G9. Instead, it relies solely on flash storage, which contributes to a more compact NAS design. The use of flash memory also enables significantly faster data transfer speeds. While this might not be crucial for storing compressed media, it’s beneficial when working with uncompressed raw data, especially in video editing scenarios.

    Connectivity Options

    The G9 features two HDMI ports, two USB-C ports, and two 2.5G Ethernet ports, as shown in the pictures. However, details regarding its pricing and availability have yet to be released.

Notably, the NUC 14 Essential will offer options including an Intel N150, N250, N97, or the Core i3-N305 (the same one we reviewed). Buyers can choose to get a complete computer or a kit that comes without any memory. The system is compatible with a single stick of DDR5 RAM, supporting up to 16 GB.

    Compact Design and Functionality

    The dimensions of the mini-PC are 135 x 115 x 36 mm (5.3 x 4.5 x 1.4 in), making it suitable for various uses based on the chosen configuration. While these systems are not top-tier, the NUC 14 Essential models can be ideal for simpler tasks, like office duties or digital signage.
