Casio frequently unveils timepieces exclusive to Japan, and the company just made an announcement about two new G-Shock models designed solely for the Japanese market: the DW-5600KHK24-1JR and the DW-5600KHG24-1JR.
Unique Designs Inspired by Culture
The DW-5600KHK24-1JR features a design that draws from Japanese art and cultural themes. It includes a backlit LED display with a “Made in Japan” label, showcasing the watch’s heritage and craftsmanship. This model is built in a shock-resistant resin case and includes 20-bar water resistance, alongside typical features like a countdown timer, stopwatch, and fully automatic calendar. The watch packaging also reflects traditional Japanese artistry.
Modern Twist on a Classic
On the other hand, the DW-5600KHG24-1JR shares similar specifications but offers a fresh take on the classic 5600 design. Both timepieces have a mineral glass display, weigh 52g for comfort, and fit wrist sizes ranging from 145mm to 205mm. These watches blend tradition and durability, making them appealing to Japanese watch fans who appreciate the brand and its history.
Cultural Homage in Every Detail
The packaging of these watches shows incredible attention to detail, featuring famous Japanese prints like “Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji,” reflecting Casio’s respect for Japanese culture. The unique LED backlight on the DW-5600KHK24-1JR, which shines with the phrase “Made in Japan,” further emphasizes Casio’s pride in its Japanese craftsmanship.
