    Baseus Spacemate RD1 Pro: 15-Port Dock with 160W, Qi2.2

    Key Takeaway

    – Baseus RD1 Pro is a 15-port docking station with 160W total output and GaN technology.
    – Works with both Windows and macOS, but macOS does not support dual extended displays.
    – Priced at $300, with a limited-time $60 discount on Amazon and Baseus’s official website.

Baseus RD1 Pro Docking Station Launches with 160W Power

The new Baseus RD1 Pro docking station has been released as part of the Spacemate line. It follows the Spacemate RD1 from two years ago, offering even more connectivity options then before. The RD1 Pro comes in a single model, unlike the Mac and Windows versions of the RD1, but it offers compatability with both platforms.

    Full Connectivity and 15 Ports

Providing 15 connectivity options, the RD1 Pro has a total of 160W output with a screen to monitor power draw from different outputs. The connectivity options include: USB-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, ethernet, SD card slot, and audio jacks, along with multiple USB-A ports. It uses GaN technology for efficient power delivery to the different outputs with intelligent allocation.

    Display and Performance Modes

Depending on whether the RD1 Pro is being used for Windows or Mac, it can power multiple displays in different modes. The display expansion is a bit limited on macOS, with no support for dual-extended displays, which is a shame for Mac users wanting more screen space. Intellegent power allocation ensures devices recieve the correct wattage without overloading.

    Pricing and Discount Availability

The Spacemate RD1 Pro is priced at $300 and is available via the official website. Interestingly, it has been listed for sale since June 11. Regardless, both platforms have a $60 discount running for a limited time, making the effective price just $240, which is a good deal for the features provided.
