Fossibot has just launched its newest smartphone, featuring a 1.09-inch screen positioned within a ring-style camera bump. Unlike other phones that have a similar design, the S3 Pro is not a foldable device. However, it is promoted as having a “2K” AMOLED display.
Display Details
The actual resolution of the display is 2400×1080, which is different from what other top-tier brands usually refer to as “2K,” often closer to 1440p. Moreover, the refresh rate for the S3 Pro is limited to a rather outdated 60Hz.
Camera Specifications
While the S3 Pro boasts dual rear cameras, their resolutions are not impressive at 64MP and 2MP. It can be seen as the non-rugged version of the F109 Pro, adopting a stylish approach to the dual-screen layout. However, the S3 Pro comes with the older MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, rather than a more modern chip like the Dimensity 6300.
Connectivity and Battery Life
As a result, the S3 Pro lacks 5G connectivity. On the upside, it does offer support for NFC and Bluetooth, along with the increasingly uncommon microSD card slot. The smartphone also has a notably outdated 5,000mAh battery, compared to the approximately 10,000mAh battery found in the F109 Pro.
In terms of pricing, the F109 Pro is currently available on Amazon for $279.99, whereas the S3 Pro is set to be available on AliExpress tomorrow (January 20, 2025) for only $139.
