Evercade has finally given fans what they’ve been wishing for! Recently, the company shared on social media that they are developing the Evercade Wireless Controller, a new accessory designed to eliminate wired connections for its beloved Evercade systems. This new controller is expected to launch in September 2026.

    Official Announcement

According to an official statement from Evercade:

    > Coming Sep 2026 – the controller you’ve all been asking for! Introducing the Evercade Wireless Controller, for use with VS, VS-R, and Alpha systems, including turbo fire, analog sticks, and a dongle with magnetic storage. Available for pre-order at select retailers.

The introduction of a wireless controller is a logical progression for the Evercade systems, which up till now have been limited to wired options since their initial release. The new controller sports a classic layout, featuring the D-pad and ABXY buttons, but it also includes dual analog sticks that have adjustable dead zones and sensitivity settings.

    Gaming Features

Additionally, the controller is equipped with Turbo and Automatic Fire modes, which allow players to repeatedly execute inputs while pressing a button. The Automatic Fire mode even lets the controller continue to send input signals even if the button is released. This customization makes it very useful for various types of games.

Such features are ideal for shooter games, run-and-gun titles, and enhancing fire rates in many classic games without the hassle of stuck inputs.

    Battery Life and Compatibility

But there’s more: The Evercade Wireless Controller includes a built-in battery that provides up to 15 hours of gameplay and charges through USB-C. Beyond the Evercade systems, it also works with PC, Mac, Android, and the Nintendo Switch systems 1 and 2. A wireless USB dongle, which attaches magnetically to the back of the controller, is also part of the package.

Pre-orders for the controller are currently available at retailers such as Funstock in the UK for £34.99, with more stores expected to join soon. The official release date has been confirmed for September 28, 2026, making this launch especially timely since Blaze Entertainment has announced that Doom and others will be coming to the Evercade platform later this year.
