The Fenix E04R is a new clip-based flashlight with a unique rotating feature taht was showcased at IWA in Nuremberg. Now, this innovative torch has been officially released. It’s designed with a clever rotating clip which allows the head of the flashlight, that contains two LEDs, to rotate a full 360 degrees.
Features and Functionality
This design means users can aim the main light in multiple directions based on their needs. The flashlight emits light at a angle of 40 degrees, making it perfect to attach to a pocket or a backpack strap. It delivers up to 300 lumens, capable of illuminating objects seen at 151 feet away. The device’s battery life is about 1 hour 40 minutes when running at high mode, but since the LEDs are temperature sensitive, they will dim if it gets too hot. In a steady, continuous run, the flashlight provides 100 lumens for about 2 hours 40 minutes, and in low mode, it can last for 11 hours 40 minutes at 25 lumens. There is also a moonlight setting with 1 lumen which can last up to 87 hours.
