Seiko Launches New Automatic Watches in 5 Sports Field Series
Seiko recently introduced 4 brand new automatic watches part of their popular 5 Sports Field series. These watches include two monochrome models with solid metal bracelets and two outdoor-style watches with nylon straps. All watches share similar core features but differ mostly in color and strap style.
Design and Construction
All of these watches are built with a stainless steel case that measures 41mm wide and 13.2mm thick. They come with a sturdy Hardlex crystal protecting the dial, a see-through case back, and a water resistance of 100 meters. They also feature a day and date display located at the three o’clock position. The main differences are in their colorways and watch strap choices; the polished black or white dial versions (HDB006 and HDB007) have a classic look with a three-link steel bracelet, whereas the sportier models (HDB008 and HDB009) sport green and brown dials with matching nylon straps.

The most notable upgrade is the new bidirectional compass bezel, a first for this series. It has diamond-patterned knurling for a stronger grip and includes a lumed north marker for simple navigation. The US release is scheduled for July, with listings now visible but prices still not announced officially.
