Escape from Tarkov is a team-based extraction first-person shooter made by Battlestate Games. In this game, players participate in raids, engaging in PVPVE (player versus player versus environment) battles aimed at collecting valuable items from the raid location, which is set against a backdrop of conflict among various factions.

    Looting and Extraction

Raiders can discover an assortment of goods, such as guns, protective gear, food, water, and other treasures, by exploring the map or taking them from other players.

When players have accumulated sufficient loot, they can leave the raid through specific extraction points. Escape from Tarkov had its full launch in 2025 and is now available on the Steam store, where it holds a Mixed rating with more than 20,000 favorable reviews.

    New Game Announcement

On February 1st, Nikita Buyanov, the original creator of Tarkov and studio head at Battlestate, excited fans with a teaser for their upcoming game, COR3. This futuristic sci-fi shooter is set on Mars, and the trailer features a solitary survivor navigating through the remnants of a small city. The camera pulls back to reveal several of these ruined towns linked by a destroyed highway, and it then gives viewers a view of the red planet, which seems to be healing from a catastrophic event.

The planet is encircled by a massive space station and numerous satellites. As the camera continues to zoom out, it showcases a debris field surrounding Mars, resembling the aftermath of a colossal space conflict. The trailer wraps up with a shot of a deceased cosmonaut in a space suit, clutching a gun and a cheeky message directed at whoever, or whatever, caused his demise.

    Community Reactions

At this point, we’ve only seen a brief teaser trailer that doesn’t reveal much in terms of gameplay, but fans who enjoy extraction shooters will likely find the game’s environment familiar, and speculation has already started among the community.

The game’s website provides additional context about its storyline, detailing that 200 years ago during Humanity’s last fight, they managed to survive a complete mutual annihilation. Rescued by an organization known as the Core, they gathered the remnants of humanity to “turn back the tide of destruction” by bringing together the world’s governments.

Interestingly, the announcement of the new game coincided with Battlestate Games revealing their plans for the future of Escape from Tarkov. This includes new maps, new mechanics like shooting locks off doors, and a collaboration with the developers of the Tarkov parody game, Escape from Duckov.

  • Twitch Streamer Tigz Becomes First to Escape Tarkov After 150 Hours

Twitch Streamer Tigz Becomes First to Escape Tarkov After 150 Hours

    Key Takeaways

    1. Escape from Tarkov now has four possible endings after the release of its v1.0 version on Steam.
    2. Twitch streamer Tigz became the first player to successfully escape from Tarkov after 150 hours of gameplay.
    3. Tigz’s journey included navigating the new Terminal map, focusing on PvE gameplay and strategic elimination of AI enemies.
    4. The extraction scene revealed a massive nuclear explosion, indicating that escape from Tarkov comes with dire consequences.
    5. The game’s director hinted at special rewards for players who achieve the best ending, sparking ongoing interest in completing the game.

Escape from Tarkov is a challenging extraction shooter where every raid feels like a risk with death lurking around every corner. For nine long years since its early access launch, players have been diving into Tarkov to gather loot and find a way out, but they never quite finished the main cycle of gameplay. However, this has recently changed, as the very first player has managed to escape from Tarkov.

    New Endings Introduced

With Escape from Tarkov’s full v1.0 version released on Steam last month, Battlestate Games introduced four possible endings to the game. A Twitch streamer named Tigz took on the challenge of unlocking one of these four endings.

After two and a half weeks of persistent effort, Tigz achieved his goal, marking himself as the first player to successfully escape from Tarkov.

    Tigz’s Journey

Tigz is a seasoned Tarkov player with nearly 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and 180,000 followers on Twitch. After an intense 150 hours of grinding during his live streams on the newly added Terminal map, he finally managed to extract.

The Terminal map, which was introduced on December 1, offered a stronger PvE narrative focus that pushed players toward freedom. Tigz skillfully navigated the docks on Terminal, taking care to hide behind shipping containers while eliminating AI enemies.

Reaching the end of the docks, he discovered a ship where the extraction took place. To his surprise, when the extraction timer reached zero, he was treated to a cutscene. Tigz exclaimed that it felt almost unreal as the extraction sequence played out.

    A Historic Moment

Battlestate Games quickly recognized this achievement and promptly celebrated him as the first player to escape Tarkov. On its X account, the studio stated, “Congratulations to Tigz on being the first to Escape From Tarkov. You survived. But at what cost?”

Even Nikita Buyanov, the game’s director, tuned into the livestream, simply stating, “He did it!” However, the game’s ending leaves some questions.

In the cutscene, fighter jets flew overhead, and as the ship departed, a massive nuclear bomb exploded, setting Tarkov ablaze. The text after the cutscene read, “You ran, hoping to escape. It seemed like all would end outside Tarkov, but hell erupted behind you.”

Buyanov later posted on X, mentioning that this was the second-worst of the four possible endings in Tarkov. He added, “The first person who will complete the game with the Best Ending will definitely have something special from me!”

Although Tigz was the first to escape from Tarkov, the quest for the other endings continues, as players are eager to discover what “special reward” awaits the first fortunate individual to achieve the ‘good’ ending.
