    Genshin Impact’s Latest Updation Announced

Hey gamers! So, Genshin Impact’s gonna get a new update called Luna VII on May 20, 2026. HoYoverse announced this on May 8 with some exciting reveals — like new characters, a fresh story chapter, and some new challenges. The update will wrap up the Nod-Krai story arc and introduce Snezhnaya, a new area, plus three brand new characters, a critical tale development, and a weekly boss fight.

End of Version 6.5 & What’s Coming Next

All things ending with Version 6.5, like the banners for Nefer and Lauma, the epic endgame challenge Stygian Onslaught, and the Ley Line Overflow event, will close shop on May 19. If you haven’t completed those, better hustle because you won’t get another chance once the update hits. The game is shifting gears towards new content!

    New Characters & Gameplay Features

Nicole Reeyn is the star of the show, and she is one of the most waited for characters ever! She’s from the secretive Fontaine society called Hexenzirkel. Her abilities focus on Pyro Catalyst moves and buff the whole team with Hexenzirkel powers. She arrives with a 4-star Anemo Catalyst character called Prune, a self-proclaimed “Witch Hunter” from Mondstadt, who handles off-field damage and support. By the way, Durin, the rerun character, will also be available during this phase.

    Introducing Lohen & Other Updates

In the second phase, Lohen joins as a 5-star Cryo Polearm wielder, and he’s said to be more powerful than Varka, the favorites of Knights of Favonius. He has a special resource system named Joy and Will to Win that fuels his skills. After unlocking his Hexerei: Secret Rite, his basic and charged attacks can do extra damage based on Will to Win. Mavuika will be back too as the rerun character in this phase.

Story and New Encounters in Sumeru

The story takes us back to Sumeru where Nahida, the Dendro Archon, falls into an unknown sleep, leading the country into chaos. A mysterious new villain appears, looking just like Il Dottore, who was believed to be defeated earlier. Whether it is really him or a copy isn’t clear yet. Finishing this quest unlocks a second weekly battle with Dottore and rewards you with 560 Primogems.

    Other Features & Future Teasers

The patch also brings buffs called Hexerei for seven old Mondstadt characters, two new artifact sets, more options for Manikin actions in Photo Mode, a fun Klee-themed mini-game, and some sports festival stuff at Miliastra Wonderland. Plus, the special program for Version 6.6 hinted a teaser for Snezhnaya, and teased what’s planned for Version 7.0 that comes out on August 12, 2026. Looks like big things are coming!
