New Laptop Launch from Acer
Acer has started selling a new 15-inch laptop across the Eurozone and in the UK. Specifically, the company has introduced a new version of the Nitro V 15. To recap, we reviewed the Nitro V 15 earlier this year with the Core i5-13420H and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5050 laptop GPU.
Processor and Performance Updates
For the time being, this version shows no sign of going anywhere. Nonetheless, Acer has released alternatives powered by the Core 9 270H. A Raptor Lake Refresh processor, the Core 9 270H contains twice as many Gracemont E-Cores as the Core i5-13420H. Additionally, Intel includes 6 Raptor Cove P-Cores for a total of 14 cores and 20 threads compared to the 8 cores and 12 threads inside the Core i5-13420H. Please see our benchmarks for comparisons between the two processors.
Display and Hardware Specifications
The newer Nitro V 15 also comes with a 165 Hz and 1080p IPS display to match the 16:9 and 15.6-inch panel we tested in February. Likewise, Acer continues to limit the GeForce RTX 5050 and GeForce RTX 5060 to 75 W TDPs. Moreover, the latest Nitro V 15 retains a 76 Wh battery, 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage and 16 GB of DDR4 RAM.
Pricing and Availabilty Details
Nonetheless, Core 9 270H variants start at £1,699 in the UK and €1,799-€1,899 in the Eurozone. At the time of writing, Acer charges €100 extra for a GeForce RTX 5060. As a result, the Nitro V 15 can cost up to €1,999 in parts of the Eurozone. There is no word on pricing or availability in other markets yet.
