It has been over four months since Abxylute announced its two new controllers for the Nintendo Switch 2. The controllers, named the Abxylute N6 and the Abxylute N9, are still not available for sale, even though they promised a Kickstarter launch in December. Recently, Abxylute introduced a third controller called the Abxylute N9C, which essentially transforms the Switch 2 into a portable GameCube.

    Features of the Abxylute N9C

Similar to the N6 and N9, the Abxylute N9C is a deck controller designed to replace the Joy-Con 2 of the Switch 2. However, the N9C features a button layout that resembles a Nintendo GameCube controller instead of the standard Switch 2 design. It even boasts the classic Indigo color along with matching buttons.

    Connection and Functionality

This controller connects to the Switch 2, which is available on Amazon for $499, using a USB-C port. It includes capacitive joysticks, mechanical micro-switch triggers, ABXY buttons, and a special C button for voice chat. Additionally, Abxylute has incorporated a 9-axis gyroscope, turbo function, and options for macros and button mapping. Users can also select from four different levels of vibration feedback.

    Upcoming Launch and Expectations

While Abxylute’s new controllers are not on the market yet, Donald Zhang, the founder, stated that the accessories are set to launch on Kickstarter on February 17. It is still uncertain whether the N9, which features an integrated kickstand and display output support, will also debut on Kickstarter that same day.
