A fat-tire e-bike maker, Kingbull, has returned with its updated Discover 2.0 series, which is the next version after the original Discover series. They have introduced two models in this new lineup: the Discover 2.0 and the Discover 2.0 ST. While both e-bikes share many features, their frame designs set them apart. Specifically, the Discover 2.0 has a traditional step-over aluminum frame, whereas the Discover 2.0 ST features a step-thru aluminum frame that’s better for shorter riders.

    Performance Features

The Discover 2.0 series is crafted for both urban and off-road use, powered by a 750 W Bafang brushless rear hub motor, similar to the one used in Kingbull’s Jumper Go and Verve fat-tire e-bikes. This motor delivers 85 Nm of torque and enables a maximum speed of 28 mph (45 kph), allowing riders to conquer inclines of up to 35°. Riders can also modify the speed of the e-bike (from 5 to 28 mph) to meet Class 2 standards for e-bike speed regulations in the US and EU.

    Battery and Components

Equipped with a 720 Wh removable Samsung lithium-ion battery, the Discover 2.0 series promises to provide a range of up to 60 miles (96.5 km) on one charge. The e-bikes feature a Shimano Altus 7-speed drivetrain and are fitted with wide 26 x 4.0-inch CST all-terrain tires. They also come with dual-piston Zoom hydraulic disc brakes, a Kingbull OS-D26 front suspension that offers 80 mm of travel, and a torque sensor for enhanced performance.

In addition to the robust motor and battery, both the Discover 2.0 and Discover 2.0 ST include an integrated backlit LCD display that shows essential information like speed, battery status, assist mode, total distance, and more. They are also designed with breathable saddles and 48V LED headlights to improve visibility in dim conditions.

    Specifications and Pricing

Though the frames differ, the Discover 2.0 weighs 76.5 lbs (34.6 kg), while the Discover 2.0 ST is slightly heavier at 77 lbs (34.9 kg). Both models can support a maximum load of 400 lbs (181.4 kg).

The Discover 2.0 series fat-tire e-bikes are available in pink, white, and space gray colors, and can be purchased for $1,299 from Kingbull’s official website. For a limited time, the company is also offering a discount of $200 when purchasing two bikes.
