Potts e-Bikes, a specialist dealer based in Germany, has recently obtained a license to sell Class electric bicycles in Europe. To mark its entry into the market, Potts e-Bikes is introducing the Claas trekking e-bike, the first pedelec from the agricultural machinery brand Claas.
The Features of the Claas Trekking E-Bike
The Claas trekking e-bike boasts several impressive features. It is powered by a Bosch Performance Line smart motor, ensuring a smooth and efficient ride. The bike also features an Enviolo TR gear hub, which provides a stepless gear architecture and automatic shifting.
The e-bike is equipped with a mid-mounted Bosch smart electric motor and a 625Wh removable battery that is discreetly integrated into the frame. The frame itself is green and is available in various sizes for both step-through and step-over versions. The bike also includes a Gates Carbon Belt Drive CDX and an RST Volar TNL-F suspension, offering a comfortable and controlled riding experience. Additionally, the Claas trekking e-bike features a suspension seat post and Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes.
The branding of the e-bike reflects the Claas identity, with red accents on the 27.5-inch wheels fitted with Schwalbe Johnny Watts tires. Riders can easily view ride information on the Bosch Kiox 500 display. The e-bike comes with accessories such as mudguards, a headlight, and a kickstand. For those in need of extra storage, a rear rack is also available for transporting luggage. However, specific details regarding the assistance range and top speed of the Claas e-bike have not yet been revealed.
Pricing and Availability
The Claas trekking e-bike is set to launch in spring 2024, although the exact release date has not yet been announced. Priced at €4,990 ($5,467), the Claas e-bike will be available for purchase from Potts e-Bikes across Europe. It remains to be seen if other specialist dealers will also offer the Claas e-bike. As of now, there is no information regarding the availability of the Claas e-bike in markets outside of Europe.
