Gaming E-Scooter Ekruzer #1: Snapdragon, 5G & Laser Tag Fun

At first look, the Ekruzer #1 seems like a trendy e-scooter, but it claims to offer a unique experience by incorporating a "gaming platform" that runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset from 2019. This chipset comes with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash storage. The visuals are shown on a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a brightness of 1,000 nits.

Gaming Potential and Features

By merging somewhat old smartphone tech with a modern e-scooter design, Ekruzer hopes to create exciting augmented reality (AR) gaming opportunities. Nonetheless, the company has yet to present any games, making it unclear what these AR experiences will truly entail. What we do know is that the Ekruzer #1 has cameras on both the front and back, along with microphones, speakers, and built-in laser tag features that games can use.

Performance and Connectivity

The scooter employs GPS to provide its location in games, while 5G connectivity allows for multiplayer gaming online. The Ekruzer #1 can reach a maximum speed of 37 mph (60 km/h) thanks to its dual motors that produce a continuous output of 1.5 kW and a peak output of 3 kW. It is powered by dual 30 Ah (59.2V) batteries, which can be fully charged in only two hours. However, the manufacturer has not revealed how far the scooter can go on a single charge. The tires are 28 centimeters (11 inches) in diameter.

Pricing and Launch Information

The Ekruzer #1 is expected to be available next year at a price point of $13,000. For additional information regarding the Ekruzer #1, you can check out the manufacturer's official website.
