A player in the performance memory market, G.Skill is preparing to introduce two new kit options tailored for both gamers and productivity users. One kit is designed for high-density and performance, while the other is focused on low latency for gamers.
Kit Specifications
These memory kits come in several configurations:
The 96GB kit boasts a faster clock speed of 6800 MT/s, utilizing high-density memory modules to meet the demands of enthusiasts and power users. In contrast, the low-latency kit is rated at 6400 MT/s but features a CAS latency of just 28, making it more suitable for gaming and tasks where lower latency is crucial instead of higher speeds and capacities.
Compatibility and Configuration
Both memory kits are compliant with Intel’s XMP3.0 standard, including overclocking profiles available directly on the modules. The high-density kit is offered in a 96GB setup (48G x 2) and is also available in 32GB (16G x 2), 48GB (24G x 2), and 64GB (32G x 2) options. On the other hand, the low-latency kit is only provided in a single 32GB configuration (16G x 2), which appears to be the optimal choice for gaming in early 2025. Both memory kits have been tested and validated on Intel’s Z790 and Z890 motherboards, specifically on the Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero (LGA 1700) and Asus ROG Maximus Z890 Hero (LGA 1851).
Product Series and Availability
The newly revealed memory modules are part of G.Skill’s premium Trident Z5 Royal, mid-range Trident Z5 RGB, and budget-friendly Ripjaws M5 RGB series. G.Skill is anticipated to make these kits available through its global distribution partners starting March 2025.
