Eizo has introduced the FlexScan FLT, a 23.8-inch monitor designed with sustainability in mind. This monitor is said to be the first globally to receive a Class A energy efficiency rating according to European guidelines.
Energy Efficiency and Comparison
The FlexScan FLT features Future-Leading Technology (FLT), resulting in an average power usage of just 6W. For reference, the Dell SE2422HX Monitor, which measures 24 inches and has various energy-saving functions, usually consumes around 16W and is currently priced at $144.22 on Amazon. Eizo emphasizes that the combination of the energy-efficient panel and additional features, such as the Eco Mode preset, enhances overall efficiency. Additionally, a power consumption indicator helps users monitor their energy use.
Display Specifications
The FlexScan FLT is a 1080p model equipped with an IPS panel and an LED backlight. It has a pixel density of 93ppi, a brightness level of 250 cd/m², a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, and a response time of 5ms (g2g). Powering the monitor is done through USB-C, eliminating the need for a power adapter. There are also two extra USB-C ports available for connecting your laptop and other devices. Weighing in at 2.4 kg (approximately 5.3 lbs), this model features a thin bezel measuring 24.4 mm (around 0.96 inches), and the adjustable arm lets you customize the monitor’s position to fit your workspace needs.
