Decathlon has introduced the Van Rysel E-GRVL AF MD electric bicycle to the European market. This e-gravel bike, announced earlier this year, features a robust mid-mounted Brose Drive T Mag motor and a 500Wh battery. It is now available for purchase across Europe.
Powerful Motor and Battery
According to Decathlon, the Van Rysel E-GRVL AF MD is the brand’s most efficient electric gravel bike to date. The bike’s mid-mounted 250W Brose Drive T Mag motor offers a maximum torque of 70Nm. Riders can choose among four different modes, and the bike includes handlebar controls for easy adjustments.
The 500Wh battery provides an assistance range of up to 150km, which can be extended further with an optional range extender. The new e-gravel bike’s versatility is highlighted by its DT Swiss HG 1800 Spline wheels, Michelin Power Gravel 700 x 47 tires, and an SRAM Apex 12-speed groupset.
Advanced Features
The Van Rysel E-GRVL AF MD is equipped with front and rear lights, a color TFT display, and Bluetooth connectivity. Riders can view their ride data using the Decathlon Ride app on their smartphones, connected via Bluetooth. The bike comes in seven frame sizes, although currently, only the smaller four sizes (XS to L) are available.

The Decathlon Van Rysel E-GRVL AF MD e-bike is available in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK. It is priced at £3,499.99 in the UK, €3,549 in the Netherlands, and €3,499.99 in France, Italy, and Spain. While it is currently out of stock in the UK, it is available in the other specified countries.
