Decathlon Btwin F900E: New Electric Cargo Bike Launch

Decathlon has introduced an updated version of the Btwin F900E Electric Family Cargo Bike across Europe. This model debuted in June as a family-friendly e-bike designed to transport up to four individuals. The initial version was offered in a color named Frozen Brown, but now the company has added a vibrant Sunflower Orange option.

Similarities in Design

Beyond the new frame color, both versions of the F900E look the same. This electric cargo bike has a maximum load capacity of 184 kg (about 406 lbs), which includes 27 kg (around 56 lbs) on the pannier rack and 101.5 kg (approximately 224 lbs) at the front. The bike is equipped with a carrier, a windshield, and a rain protector, making it ideal for riders who are between 1.55 and 1.95 meters (5.1 to 6.4 feet) tall. Powering this e-bike is a 250W Brose S Mag engine, offering up to 90Nm of torque and assisting riders at speeds of up to 25 kph (roughly 16 mph). It features a 630Wh lithium-ion battery that reportedly provides an assistance range of 40 to 80 km (25 to 50 miles). Additional highlights include a torque sensor, 4G and GPS connectivity, along with a color display to indicate remaining battery life and speed.

Availability and Pricing

The Decathlon Btwin F900E in Sunflower Orange is now available for purchase in EU countries such as the Netherlands and France at a price of €4,999, which is the same as the original Frozen Brown model. This e-bike is also listed on the Decathlon UK website for £4,999.99; however, both color options are currently unavailable online.
