  • Galaxy Z Fold 7 Leaked Image Confirms 200MP Main Camera

Galaxy Z Fold 7 Leaked Image Confirms 200MP Main Camera

    Key Takeaways

    1. A leaked photo of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 has generated excitement ahead of its launch in July 2025, with mass production already underway.
    2. The Z Fold7 is expected to feature a similar design to the Z Fold6, but with a rumored 200MP main camera sensor, enhancing its photography capabilities.
    3. Specifications suggest the Z Fold7 will be slimmer than competitors, measuring 158.4 x 143.1 x 3.9mm when unfolded, and powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
    4. The Z Fold7 is anticipated to have reduced bezels on the inner display, improving the usable screen area from 1.9mm to 1mm.
    5. The Z Flip7 will likely use different processors in various regions, with the Exynos 2500 for most areas and the Snapdragon 8 Elite for North America and China.

A photo that has leaked online, supposedly showing the back of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7, has created a buzz ahead of its anticipated launch in July 2025, alongside the Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 FE. As mass production is already in progress, this sneak peek gives us a taste of what to expect.

    Excitement for the Upcoming Launch

Samsung is preparing to unveil its new foldable devices, with the 7th generation foldables set to be showcased at an Unpacked event in early July 2025. A recent spy shot, which allegedly depicts the back of the Z Fold7, has made its way online, although the original post on Weibo has since been deleted, which adds some credibility to the leak. The image displays a similar vertical triple-camera arrangement but doesn’t provide much information about rumored features, such as an edge-to-edge cover display or the impressively thin 3.9mm profile when unfolded. It honestly looks more like a dummy unit than the real deal.

    Camera Details

    The Z Fold6
    The suspected Z Fold7
While the overall design and curvature of the corners seem almost the same as the Z Fold6, the image does support earlier rumors regarding a 200MP main sensor. When compared to the Z Fold6, which features a 50MP ISOCELL GN3 (1/1.57″), the 200MP sensors from Samsung are typically larger, around 1/1.3″. The broader camera island and the flash being positioned lower hint that there might indeed be a bigger sensor inside, adding credibility to what was previously thought to be mere speculation.

    Specifications Overview

According to the leaked specifications, the Z Fold7 is projected to be 158.4 x 143.1 x 3.9mm when unfolded (8.9mm when folded), making it slimmer than competitors like the Oppo Find N5. It’s expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite worldwide, coupled with 12GB of RAM and a 4,400mAh battery, which remains unchanged from the Z Fold6. Additionally, the bezels on the inner display may shrink from 1.9mm to 1mm, increasing the usable screen area.

On the other hand, the Z Flip7 is likely to use the Exynos 2500 in most regions, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite will be reserved for North America and China; the Z Flip7 FE is rumored to utilize the Exynos 2400.

The Motorola Edge 60 series has been introduced in multiple regions, including Europe and Asia. However, the company has not yet revealed the release date for this year’s Edge model in North America. While we are waiting for more information, a leak has surfaced displaying the Motorola Edge 2025 intended for the US market.

    Renders and Design

Posted by Evan Blass (@evleaks) on X, the leaked official renders and promotional visuals showcase the 2025 Motorola Edge from different perspectives. The pictures suggest that the Motorola Edge 2025 will keep the design of its previous version, the Motorola Edge 2024, at least on the front side. The significant changes are seen at the back of the device.

    Features and Specifications

The Motorola Edge 2025 features a curved display with a centrally placed punch hole for the front camera. The curved edges hold the volume and power buttons on the right side, with an extra button located on the left. This additional button, known as the Quick Button, returns from last year’s model. It serves as a shortcut for launching specific apps or performing actions like opening your email or using the phone as a webcam for your computer.

In contrast to the previous year’s model, the Motorola Edge 2025 will come equipped with three rear cameras. The addition of another sensor and a new LED flash design has led to a significantly larger camera setup. Similar to other Motorola phones released this year, the Edge 2025 will feature a faux leather finish and will be available in a Pantone color.

    Color Options and Rumors

The renders showcase a green color variant reminiscent of the Moto G 2025 (currently listed on Amazon for $199.99), and it might be the sole color option available, especially since the Motorola Edge 2024 is also offered only in Midnight Blue.

Although there is no information yet regarding the phone’s specific features, we can anticipate it will include an OLED display with a high refresh rate, an in-display fingerprint reader, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, a large battery, and support for at least 68W fast charging alongside 15W wireless charging. • Huawei, Honor, OPPO, and Vivo Join Forces for UFCS 2.0 Charging Standard

Huawei, Honor, OPPO, and Vivo Join Forces for UFCS 2.0 Charging Standard

    Key Takeaways

    1. Huawei, Honor, Oppo, and Vivo have created a standardized charging protocol called UFCS 2.0 in China.
    2. UFCS 2.0 introduces 40W unauthenticated power delivery for faster charging without brand-specific adapters.
    3. The protocol includes reverse charging, allowing devices to charge others regardless of the brand.
    4. PowerChange feature adjusts charger output automatically based on the connected device, enhancing safety and efficiency.
    5. The collaboration aims to reduce confusion from incompatible charging standards, but global adoption remains uncertain.

Huawei, Honor, Oppo, and Vivo have teamed up to create a standardized charging protocol in China. These four Chinese smartphone manufacturers gathered at the UFCS Industry Development Conference in Shenzhen on May 22 to sign a new agreement regarding the Universal Fast Charging Standard (UFCS) 2.0 protocol.

    Background on UFCS

For those who don’t know, the UFCS charging was first launched by Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi in 2021. It laid the groundwork for establishing centralized mobile fast charging standards among these brands.

    Enhancements in Version 2.0

UFCS Version 2.0 brings significant technical improvements compared to its predecessor. The most important is the inclusion of 40W unauthenticated power delivery. This allows devices to charge at faster rates without the need for specific handshakes between brand-specific adapters and cables.

The protocol also adds a reverse charging capability, enabling supported devices to charge others, no matter the brand.

    Features and Impacts

The companies state that UFCS 2.0 requires a feature called PowerChange, which actively adjusts adapter power. This means that chargers will automatically recognize and modify their output based on the device they are connected to, irrespective of its manufacturer. This is intended to enhance both safety and efficiency, while minimizing the issues often associated with third-party charging accessories.

The collaboration of these four brands for a unified charging standard is beneficial for users. Fast charging has become a standard expectation in modern smartphones, yet it is often inconsistent. Historically, each brand has promoted its own proprietary solutions, resulting in a confusing array of incompatible standards and surplus chargers for consumers. In theory, UFCS aims to alleviate that fragmentation, at least among this group.

However, it remains uncertain whether this protocol will be adopted outside of China or embraced by global competitors such as Samsung or Apple. As long as companies continue to favor isolated standards, users will be reliant on the ecosystem they choose to invest in.

  • OnePlus 13s: Compact Flagship with Trade-Offs vs OnePlus 13T

OnePlus 13s: Compact Flagship with Trade-Offs vs OnePlus 13T

    Key Takeaways

    1. OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 13s in India on June 5.
    2. The OnePlus 13s features a better 32 MP selfie camera, upgrading from the 16 MP camera in the OnePlus 13T.
    3. The 13s is expected to support 4K video recording with its front camera, a feature absent in the 13T.
    4. The OnePlus 13s may have a smaller battery at 5850 mAh compared to the 13T’s 6260 mAh.
    5. Despite the smaller battery, the 13s maintains a strong performance standard for its compact size.

OnePlus has recently announced that it will launch the OnePlus 13s in India on June 5. This compact premium smartphone is largely a rebranded version of the OnePlus 13T, which was released in China last month. However, there are expected to be two notable differences between the two models.

    Upgraded Selfie Camera

On a positive note, the OnePlus 13s will come with a better selfie camera compared to the OnePlus 13T. While the 13T has a 16 MP front camera, the 13s will switch to a 32 MP option. Although resolution is not the only measure of camera quality, it’s safe to say that the 32 MP camera on the OnePlus 13s will likely outperform the 16 MP camera in the 13T. This upgrade to a 32 MP sensor is also believed to enable the OnePlus 13s to record 4K video using its front camera, which is a feature that the 13T lacks.

    Smaller Battery Expected

On the downside, rumors suggest that the OnePlus 13s will have a smaller battery compared to the 13T. The 13T is packed with a hefty 6260 mAh battery, but sources indicate that the 13s might come with a less powerful 5850 mAh battery. This wouldn’t be too surprising, as many devices launched outside of China this year have featured smaller batteries. Nevertheless, a 5850 mAh battery in a compact 6.32-inch phone would still set a high standard in its class.
