Casio is set to launch the DQD-851J-8JF desk clock on October 25, 2024, in Japan. This clock is a tribute to the classic Casio A158 digital wristwatch, a favorite among retro watch lovers. With a price tag of 4,378 yen or $29.50 (including tax), it retains the nostalgic design of the A158 but introduces new features to enhance its usability.

Additionally, it features a snooze alarm with adjustable sound levels, an auto calendar, and a soothing amber LED light. The clock measures 102 x 117 x 48 millimeters and weighs 185 grams, powered by two AA batteries that can last for about a year.

Usage Outside Japan

Although the Wave Ceptor function is designed for use in Japan, the clock can still be utilized in other regions, albeit with some Japanese display elements. For context, Wave Ceptor watches sync with radio time signals that are broadcasted by various government time services worldwide.
