ASUS has just revealed its newest advancements in professional displays. At Computex 2024, the company introduced state-of-the-art monitors, including the ProArt Display, ZenScreen monitors, and the VU display series. These products are designed to cater to various needs, from professional content creation and hybrid work to entertainment and beyond. This announcement follows ASUS's launch of the ExpertBook P5 AI-powered laptops at the same event.
ASUS ProArt Display
One of the main highlights of the Computex announcement is the new ProArt Display, featuring cutting-edge technology. ASUS introduced the ProArt in two models, offering 8K and 5K resolutions. The PA32KCX is touted as the world's first 8K mini-LED professional monitor. It boasts a 32-inch panel that covers 97% of the cinema-grade DCI-P3 gamut and has a peak brightness of 1,200 nits.
Meanwhile, the PA27JCV is a 27-inch monitor with 5K resolution, offering 99% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB wide color gamut. Both models feature LuxPixel technology, including AGLR (Anti-Glare and Low Reflection). These professional-grade monitors are powered via a USB-C port for 96W power delivery. The ProArt Display 5K model includes ASUS LightSync solutions such as an Ambient Light Sensor and a Backlight Sensor. The 8K model comes with a built-in motorized flip colorimeter for automatic and self-calibration, true 10-bit depth, and supports HDR10 and HLG.
ZenScreen Monitors
While the ProArt series targets creative professionals, the ZenScreen monitors aim to enhance entertainment and productivity. The standout model is the ZenScreen Duo OLED MQ149CD, which features a 14-inch 16:10 aspect ratio with dual OLED displays. It has an FHD resolution and a 360-degree foldable hinge, weighing just 700 grams, making it ideal for on-the-go productivity.
The second model is the ZenScreen Smart MS27UC, a 27-inch IPS LCD monitor with UHD resolution. This is ASUS's first Google TV smart monitor, capable of functioning independently without a PC connection. It supports wireless display functionality and has built-in 5W Harman Kardon speakers. Other notable features include 90W power delivery via a USB-C port, USB hub ports, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and Google Play Store support.
ASUS VU
Lastly, the ASUS VU lineup includes three models: VU249HFI-W, VU279HFI-W, and VU34WCIP-W. These monitors are designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating nano-ion and eco-friendly technologies. The displays feature eye-strain reduction, a 100Hz refresh rate, and IPS panels for wide viewing angles.
ASUS also uses 100 percent recyclable paper packaging that complies with Energy Star 8.9 standards. The company aims to achieve 85 percent PCR-Plastic, PCB Halogen-free, EPEAT Gold, and TCO 9 certifications. This lineup offers various sizes, from a 24-inch display to a 34-inch ultra-wide panel. The VU34WCIP-W model is an ultra-wide display with WQHD resolution and a curved screen for an immersive experience.
