AGON, the gaming division of AOC, has introduced its newest gaming monitor – the AGON 6 Pro (model no: AG246FK). Priced at 5999 yuan (approximately $844), it is now available on JD.com. Let’s delve into its primary features.
AGON 6 Pro Monitor Specifications
The AG246FK monitor is equipped with a 24.1-inch Fast TN panel that offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and an impressive 540Hz refresh rate, making it one of the quickest monitors available. The screen supports a brightness of 400 nits and an 8-bit color depth, ensuring vibrant colors and solid contrast.
Although the resolution might be considered modest by modern standards, the emphasis is on speed. The TN panel provides a 0.3ms (MPRT) and 0.5ms GtG response time, minimizing ghosting and blurring during high-speed gaming.
Additionally, AOC’s MBR Sync technology aims to address image quality issues often linked with variable refresh rate (VRR) technologies such as G-Sync and FreeSync.
In terms of color precision, the monitor covers 99% of the sRGB color spectrum and has a Delta E<2 rating, which is decent but not exceptional. Nevertheless, the monitor includes various game modes and color settings to enhance the experience across different game genres.
Connectivity and Adjustability
The AG246FK is equipped with two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DP1.4 port, and four USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports for connecting various peripherals. The stand offers a wide range of adjustments, including tilt, swivel, height adjustment, and even portrait mode. It also supports VESA 100x100mm wall mounting.
AGON has integrated the AG246FK with its “Rage Engine,” a suite of features designed to improve the gaming experience. This includes AI Smart Quality Control for consistent visuals and Dark Boost for better visibility in dark scenes. The monitor also includes FPS-specific settings and parameters, carefully tuned by professional CSGO players to optimize both image quality and performance in competitive gaming.
Earlier this year, AOC also released the AGON 6 Pro series gaming monitor, featuring a 45-inch OLED curved display and a 10-bit 240Hz panel.
