Xiaomi CEO to Gift Xiaomi SU7 Car to Redmi GM on Turbo 3 Success
Xiaomi Auto recently held a delivery ceremony for their inaugural batch of Xiaomi SU7 vehicles at their Yizhuang Automobile Factory in Beijing, headed up by founder and CEO Lei Jun. Each SU7 was personally handed off to its new owners before in a surprising twist, Lei announced he planned on gifting one SU7 to Redmi General Manager Wang Teng Thomas himself as part of this gift plan.

Redmi’s announcement coincided with their planned product line roll-out date of April 10, and included details regarding Wang Teng receiving an SU7 as reward should their sales target for Redmi Turbo 3 be met. Due to misinterpretations on social media platforms however, redmi team felt obliged to clarify exactly what meeting sales targets means in practice.
Wang Teng expressed confidence in Redmi team’s efforts regarding Turbo 3 and predicted its successful reception among consumers, suggesting potential benefits if Redmi meet sales objectives with this car.
Redmi Turbo 3 Is An Outstanding Flagship Rivaler
Redmi’s flagship killer and first product from their new turbo series, Redmi Turbo 3 promises impressive performance capabilities with its Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip which offers higher midrange devices than its flagship sibling Snapdragon 8. According to initial images posted by their official Weibo account, its design appears flat with subtly contoured edges, likely featuring a flat display panel.

At the start of this month, Redmi made an unexpected announcement regarding their brand new series known as Redmi Turbo and that their initial device in this lineup would be known as the Redmi Turbo 3. Since then, they have now revealed its appearance and launch date within China.
Redmi Turbo 3 Launch Details Revealed
According to its Weibo account, Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 3 smartphone will debut on April 10, at 7 PM local time in China. A teaser showcased its official design – flat with slightly rounded corners to improve grip comfort – in three color variants and features two camera sensor cutouts with LED rings on its rear face, along with power button and volume rockers conveniently situated on its right side for ease of access.
Redmi has confirmed that its Turbo series smartphone will come equipped with Qualcomm’s recently unveiled Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor – an updated variant of Snapdragon 8’s flagship chip from 2016. Redmi reports a tremendous AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 1.75 Million on Geekbench surpassing current leader, the OnePlus Ace 3V; thus fulfilling Redmi’s objectives for their Turbo series.

Xiaomi recently unveiled their Redmi Turbo series of phones, starting off with Redmi Turbo 3 as their debut smartphone model. While official details about its processor remain scarce, some information about it has surfaced through Geekbench listings.
Design Details Revealed
Both concept images and authentic pictures have surfaced online that show off the Redmi Turbo 3’s distinctive rear layout compared to prior Redmi smartphones.
Camera Features and Setup
Notably, the smartphone’s camera array occupies much of its top section with its distinctive arrangement for camera sensors. Two vertically aligned lenses – including an OIS equipped 200MP primary camera – adorn its left side; in addition, a small cutout (possibly for macro sensing purposes) sits nearby next to an LED ring-shaped light and the iconic Redmi logo for easy identification of different lenses and sensors.

Redmi Turbo 3 debuts on benchmark with massive 16GB RAM
Xiaomi has recently announced the upcoming launch of the Redmi Turbo 3 in China, introducing the new Redmi Turbo smartphone series. Before its official release, purported specifications for the Redmi Turbo 3 have emerged on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.
Redmi Turbo 3 Specifications
The Redmi Turbo 3 was listed on Geekbench (version 6.2.2) with the model number 24069RA21C, achieving 1981 points in single-core testing and 5526 points in multi-core tests.
The listing discloses that the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and boasts a significant 16GB of memory. Additionally, the phone will come equipped with the latest Android 14 operating system.
Xiaomi’s announcement positions the Redmi Turbo 3 as a mid-range offering within its new ‘performance series’ lineup. This marks a shift from the previous inclusion of Turbo series smartphones under the Redmi Note lineup, the last of which was the Note 12 Turbo.
