Acer Predator X27U OLED Monitor Updated with New X1 Release

The Predator X27U has been around for a bit, having been launched alongside the Predator X45 in spring 2023. Just to give you some background, the Predator X27U (currently priced at $666 on Amazon) is built on a QD-OLED panel made by Samsung Display.

    New Variant Emerges

Recently, ITHome found out that Acer has released a new version, the Predator X27U X1, which it is now selling in China. Interestingly, this new monitor seems to use the same basic panel as the original Predator X27U, unlike the LG Display WOLED panel found in the Predator X27U F3.

    Impressive Specifications

The Predator X27U X1 features a native resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 110 PPI. It boasts a refresh rate of 240 Hz, combined with an ultra-fast 0.03 ms GtG response time, plus AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support to reduce tearing during high-speed action. Additionally, the QD-OLED panel achieves 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and can reach 400 nits brightness when displaying HDR content. It even holds the VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification.

    Flexible Design and Connectivity

The Predator X27U X1 includes an adjustable stand that allows users to tilt, raise, and rotate the monitor as needed. It also has 75 x 75 mm VESA mounts for attaching a third-party stand if preferred. For connectivity, it comes with DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports, as well as two 5 W speakers. In China, the Predator X27U X1 is priced at CNY 2,999 (around $414), but there’s no news yet about when it will be available internationally.
