  • Tecno Camon 40 Premier 5G Features Periscope Zoom Lens Leak

Tecno Camon 40 Premier 5G Features Periscope Zoom Lens Leak

The recent leaks regarding the Camon 40 series suggest that Tecno has moved away from the OnePlus 13-style camera design used in previous models. Instead, the flagship of this series seems to take inspiration from the Oppo Find X8 Pro’s aesthetic.

    Camera Design and Features

The new smartphone features a single round camera module located in the center of the upper half of its back panel. This module includes four lenses arranged in a traditional stove-top pattern, with one of the lenses shaped as a square.

    Improved Specs on the Horizon?

It appears that the Camon 40 Premier (listed as Tecno CM8 in the FCC database) will continue to use the periscope zoom lens found in its predecessor. It is expected to offer “60x Zoom” similar to the Camon 30 Premier (currently priced at INR 29,999, roughly $347 on amazon.in), although this figure represents digital zoom rather than optical. It remains unclear if the 40 Premier can enhance the camera specifications compared to its earlier models.

    Performance and Charging Capabilities

What’s more likely is that the 40 Premier will feature 12GB of RAM and a minimum of 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, it may come with 70W Flash Charging, which, while not an upgrade from the 30 Premier, should still hold its own against other devices in the same price range—though it may lag behind the Realme 14 Pro+.

As for the battery, there has been no indication of an upgrade for the 40 Premier so far. Meanwhile, the Tecno CM6 (or “40 4G”) has received certification from Thailand’s NBTC, suggesting it might be ready for a launch very soon.

Oppo Find X8 Ultra Specs Leaked: A Global Rival to Galaxy S25 Ultra

Those who are fans of the Hasselblad tuning and camera features of the Oppo Find X8 Pro, which has recently made its way to Europe, might have something to celebrate in 2025. Even though an Oppo employee in the UK seemed to dismiss the idea of a global release for the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, fresh evidence suggests a launch could happen outside of China.

    New Launch Speculations

Indian leaker Yogesh Brar recently shared insights in an article on Smartprix, hinting that the favorable response to the global releases of the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, paired with strong sales numbers, has caused Oppo’s management to reconsider their stance. The report indicates that initial tests for a worldwide release of the Oppo Find X8 Ultra are underway, alongside plans for the global launch of the Oppo Find N5, which is anticipated to be the OnePlus Open 2.

    Design and Features Insights

In the last few days, well-known Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station has provided multiple updates regarding the design, features, and specifications of the Oppo Find X8 Ultra. He notes that the design won’t differ much from the Oppo Find X7 Ultra, but the 6.82-inch 2K AMOLED display from BOE will feature a slightly curved, more contemporary aesthetic. As for the camera technology, it will be similar to that of the Oppo Find X8 Pro, although it will have a bulkier camera bump. The Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship is anticipated to include a 1-inch primary camera, a dual periscope telephoto, and a new IMX882 ultra-wide camera.

  • Huawei Mate 70 Pro vs Oppo Find X8 Pro vs Vivo X200 Pro: Comparison

Huawei Mate 70 Pro vs Oppo Find X8 Pro vs Vivo X200 Pro: Comparison

We just uploaded our unboxing and hands-on video for the Huawei Mate 70 Pro. This smartphone marks the latest flagship offering from the brand. But how does it stack up against other high-end phones from China that just made their global appearances? Here’s a brief comparison between the Mate 70 Pro, the Oppo Find X8 Pro, and the Vivo X200 Pro.

    Comparison Overview

All three smartphones are considered flagship devices, providing a top-notch experience. The design and display preferences can vary, making it difficult to declare one as definitively superior. The Mate 70 Pro, Find X8 Pro, and X200 Pro all sport an aluminum frame combined with a glass body. They also come with impressive IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against water and dust. A notable feature is the large circular camera setup located on the back of each device.

    Display Features

There is a minor difference in their screen sizes; however, none of them are particularly compact flagship options. The Find X8 Pro and X200 Pro come equipped with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display offering FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. In contrast, the Mate 70 Pro has a slightly taller 6.9-inch LTPO OLED display, also featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution, but with a lower peak brightness of 2500 nits. Although the other two models shine brighter, the Mate 70 Pro boasts a marginally taller screen.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display offering FHD+ resolution

  • First Dimensity 9400 Tablet Launching with Hidden Selfie Camera

First Dimensity 9400 Tablet Launching with Hidden Selfie Camera

The MediaTek Dimensity 9400 has shown impressive performance in new smartphones like the Oppo Find X8 Pro. Now, it is set to make its mark in the tablet arena, as per reliable leaker Digital Chat Station.

    Design Features

The upcoming tablet is expected to feature a sleek metallic unibody, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, which is currently priced at $689.98 on Amazon. This new device is likely to adopt a compact design that is very much in vogue right now.

Its smaller yet high-refresh-rate display is said to have "rounded corners." This design choice might serve to enhance the overall look of the device, while also minimizing the visual distraction of any bezels present.

    Camera and Display

Moreover, there are rumors that the tablet will incorporate under-display camera technology, reminiscent of the stylish "hidden camera" seen in devices like the RedMagic 10 Pro or Nubia Z70 Ultra. However, it’s worth noting that the screen is believed to be LCD, unlike the OLED displays found in those smartphones.

The exact identity of this next-generation tablet remains unclear at the moment. Given the rumored display size of 8.8 inches, it could potentially be a new version of Lenovo’s Legion Y700 or the 144Hz RedMagic Nova, among other possibilities.

  • Oppo Find X8 Ultra Leaks Show Major Camera Upgrades

Oppo Find X8 Ultra Leaks Show Major Camera Upgrades

Oppo has just introduced its newest flagship smartphones, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, to the global market, following their first debut in China alongside the Find X8 Pro mini version. As the company works to roll out these devices internationally, intriguing details about the upcoming Oppo Find X8 Ultra have started to surface.

    Oppo Find X8 Pro

Speculations indicate that the Find X8 Ultra will be an exceptional camera device, aiming to outshine its forerunner, the Find X7 Ultra. Although the official launch is anticipated for spring 2025, some leaked information has already begun to emerge.

Expected Camera Features of the Oppo Find X8 Ultra

The leaks point to a quad-camera configuration, which includes a 50 MP Sony LYT 900 main sensor with a 1-inch optical format, a 50 MP Sony IMX 882 ultra-wide sensor with a 1/1.95-inch format, and two telephoto lenses: one being a 50 MP Sony LYT 701 with a 1/1.56-inch format and a focal length equivalent of 75 mm, while the other is a 50 MP Sony IMX 882 with a 1/1.95-inch format and a 150 mm equivalent focal length. The anticipated camera arrangement is likely to enhance image quality, especially with the main and ultra-wide sensors. The Find X8 Ultra is also expected to excel with its 3x and 7x telephoto lenses.

    Display and Performance Expectations

Reports from earlier suggest that the engineering prototype of the Find X8 Ultra boasts a micro-quad-curved display. It is rumored to have a 6.82-inch BOE X2 LTPO OLED screen featuring a 2K+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, possibly identical to the display found in the OnePlus 13. For its processing power, the device is expected to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite (SM8750) chip, differing from the Dimensity 9400 that is used in other models within the Find X8 lineup.

The Find X8 Ultra is set to rival other high-end devices like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Honor Magic 7 Ultimate, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and Vivo X200 Ultra. While the X8 and X8 Pro have been launched globally, it is still unclear whether the X8 Ultra will be available outside of China.

  • Camera Comparison: OnePlus 13 vs Oppo Find X8 Pro vs Vivo X200 Pro

Camera Comparison: OnePlus 13 vs Oppo Find X8 Pro vs Vivo X200 Pro

There are plenty of camera comparison videos available online, and Chris from TechTablets often leads the way in reviewing and contrasting the newest devices. He also stays ahead in terms of camera flagship devices from brands like Oppo, OnePlus, and Vivo, which have already seen global launches. In his recent video (check it out below), he evaluates the camera equipment of the Hasselblad cameras found in the Oppo Find X8 Pro and OnePlus 13 alongside the Zeiss camera in the Vivo X200 Pro. The Vivo model has a slight edge as it has been on the (Chinese) market for a bit longer and has already gone through several updates.

    Performance Analysis

This gives some insight into why the Vivo X200 Pro tends to outperform the others in various situations, as highlighted in the nearly 8-minute comparison video according to Chris’s insights. The differences are minimal when it comes to video capabilities, where the Oppo Find X8 Pro stands out as the only device among the three that lacks the ability to shoot in 8K with its main camera. In terms of selfie shots, the OnePlus 13 takes the lead as the best of the flagship trio, but when looking at other aspects like portrait shots, macro images, and especially zoom photos, the Vivo X200 Pro clearly takes the crown.

    Zoom Performance

One of the most noticeable advantages comes from the 10x zoom shots taken at night and in low-light conditions, where the Zeiss camera on the Vivo X200 Pro significantly outshines the other two models. This is particularly surprising considering the Vivo X200 Pro’s optical focal length is much lower at 3.7x compared to the Oppo Find X8 Pro’s 6x zoom. Future updates could potentially enhance the performance of the Hasselblad flagship. However, there is a notable downside: the Vivo X200 Pro has a noticeable lens flare issue in certain situations, although the Oppo and OnePlus models are not completely free from this flaw either.

  • Oppo Challenges Samsung One UI with ColorOS 15 Showcase

Oppo Challenges Samsung One UI with ColorOS 15 Showcase

At the recent launch for its newest flagship smartphones, Oppo unveiled the improvements made in ColorOS 15, claiming it offers a new level of smoothness and performance. The company didn’t hesitate to draw comparisons, making a cheeky remark about Samsung’s One UI during the event.

    Smoothness of ColorOS 15

Oppo presented their innovative “Luminous Rendering Engine” during the event, which greatly boosts the responsiveness of the user interface. This engine claims to provide an 18% increase in touch response speed and a 40% improvement in stability, making multitasking effortless even when under heavy loads.

While demonstrating this feature live, Oppo showcased how ColorOS 15 kept its fluidity while swiftly opening, closing, and switching between applications, contrasting it with a rival interface that seemed to struggle. Although not named explicitly, Samsung‘s One UI was clearly the target of this demonstration.

    Visual Enhancements

The redesigned ColorOS 15 also comes with a fresh visual identity, featuring new icons and widgets that use natural color tones for a revitalized look. The introduction of Flux Themes allows for customizable layouts that sync the always-on display, lock screen, and home screen into a cohesive design. Oppo stressed its dedication to providing a more engaging experience with each interaction.

Interestingly, Oppo isn’t the first to make fun of a competitor. It appears to have taken some cues from Samsung, who has been mocking its main rival for many years. Recently, Samsung criticized Apple for its lack of innovation, highlighting some of the Galaxy AI features.

    AI Features

On the subject of AI, Oppo has integrated some new tools as well. The AI Writer function in ColorOS 15 makes replying to messages and summarizing easier, while the AI-enhanced Notes app assists users in organizing their information more effectively. These features highlight Oppo’s emphasis on using AI for more intelligent and intuitive user experiences.

    Hardware Overview

The Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, which are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, are the first devices to debut with ColorOS 15. These flagship devices offer excellent performance, with the Pro model supporting configurations of up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB storage. They also feature advanced cooling systems that utilize high-performance graphite and a vapor chamber to keep temperatures in check during intensive tasks like gaming.

Battery performance is another standout feature, with the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro boasting 5,630mAh and 5,910mAh batteries, respectively. Oppo also made a hardware comparison to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, as seen below. Both new Oppo models support 80W wired charging and 50W magnetic wireless charging. The inclusion of magnets sets the Oppo flagships apart from other Android devices. More details about the devices can be found here.
