    4. The device features a dual-display foldable design, resembling a Nintendo 2DS XL or 3DS XL in its standard position.

One-Netbook and Sugar Cubes have finally made public their new device, the OneXSugar, which they first hinted at back in December. Now referred to as the Sugar 1, with OneXSugar being the name for the series akin to OneXPlayer, this gadget is among the first to utilize Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chipset. We’ve discussed the chipset’s detailed features separately.

    Performance Boost

To put it simply, the Sugar 1 is expected to offer up to 28% improved GPU performance compared to current high-end Android gaming handhelds like the Ayaneo Pocket Evo or Pocket S, which is currently priced at $589.99 on Amazon. One-Netbook has shared that the device comes with a 6.01-inch main display, though specifics regarding its other features are still unclear. On the other hand, the smaller secondary display is reported to be about 3.92 inches with what looks like a 1:1 or 4:3 aspect ratio.

    Design Features

Due to its dual-display foldable design, the Sugar 1 resembles either a Nintendo 2DS XL or 3DS XL when in its standard position. However, the secondary display can be tucked away, and the controllers can be lifted up to form a typical horizontal gaming handheld. Alternatively, the secondary screen can be positioned on top, as demonstrated in the video below.

One-Netbook has yet to announce when the Sugar 1 will be available for purchase. Instead, they have confirmed that the device will soon be featured on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, where it will launch with a 30% discount.

One-Netbook has been quite active in recent months, especially when compared to its competitors. While Anbernic, known for its busy schedule, hasn’t released any new products for some time, One-Netbook has launched multiple devices under the OneXPlayer brand.

    New Products

A notable release is the OneXFly F1 Pro, currently priced at $1,149.99 on Amazon, which was launched just before Ayaneo could respond with the similar Ayaneo 3. Following this, One-Netbook also launched the OneXPlayer X1 Pro and the OneXPlayer G1, both of which have distinct designs.

    Exciting Tease

Amid these product launches, One-Netbook has teased an interesting new device named the OneXSugar. This gadget, created in partnership with Sugar Cubes, is said to have a ‘transformable’ design. An early prototype of this device can be seen in the video above. Essentially, the OneXSugar appears to allow for both horizontal gaming handheld use and a Nintendo DS-like dual-screen setup, made possible through a series of hinges.

One-Netbook and Sugar Cubes haven’t fully revealed the device yet or provided any details about its availability. Instead, One-Netbook has mentioned that the OneXSugar will be officially announced during a ‘Tasting Experience’ event in China next week. Additionally, there will be a similar event in Los Angeles, where the company is looking for feedback from fans. There’s also a chance to win a OneXSugar!
