Hyperkin Introduces Food-Themed Controllers for Nintendo Switch

Who would've thought that a hot dog could be part of your next gaming session? Hyperkin, a brand known for its gaming controllers, has just cooked up something rather unique. They're partnering with iconic food brands to bring a quirky twist to the gaming world: food-themed controllers for the Nintendo Switch.

    A Unique Collaboration

Hyperkin's latest Bluetooth controller lineup is quite the conversation starter, with designs inspired by Oscar Mayer, Kool-Aid, Sriracha, Kraft Mac & Cheese, and Heinz Ketchup. Although not all are up for grabs yet, you can snag the Oscar Mayer, Kool-Aid, and Sriracha versions on their website as of now, complete with matching carrying cases to tote around your Switch in style.

    Playful Design

These aren't your average controllers. They boast a see-through body reminiscent of the beloved N64 days, paired with a solid faceplate that pays homage to each food brand. The buttons and sticks follow the theme, making for a playful gaming experience.

    Exclusive Compatibility

Previously, Hyperkin has produced Tetris and Miraculous Ladybug-themed controllers, but this is their first foray into the foodie sector. Sadly, for fans of console variety, these tasty controllers are made for the Switch, PC, and mobile gaming only. They're not planned for Xbox or PlayStation compatibility.

    A Fresh Flavor for Gaming

For those who delight in the fusion of food and fun, these controllers offer a fresh way to flavor your play. It's clear that Hyperkin is dipping its toes into a new kind of branding, perhaps hinting at a future where our tech gadgets and favorite snacks come together…in a weird way. Either way, it's aesthetic, so who cares?

Speculation and Gossip Abound About the Much-Awaited Successor to the Nintendo Switch

Speculation has been rife surrounding the highly anticipated follow-up to the original 2017 Switch, known as the Nintendo Switch 2. As handheld gaming consoles like the Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, and MSI Claw gain traction, Nintendo finds itself in a more competitive landscape. Despite this, fresh details on the Switch 2 have emerged, courtesy of Omdia analyst Hiroshi Hayase.

    Insights from Bloomberg

As per Bloomberg, Hayase, specializing in research on company supply chain intricacies of small to medium displays, has divulged the latest information on the Nintendo Switch 2. The forthcoming console is poised to sport an 8-inch LCD screen, a notable improvement over the 6.2 and 7-inch displays present in the original Switch’s standard and OLED iterations.

Additionally, Hayase envisions the Nintendo Switch 2 sparking a twofold increase in the shipments of amusement displays by 2024. Although the report offers only scant supplementary details, Bloomberg affirms the credibility of the source.

    Prior Leaks and Speculation

In the previous year, reports allegedly indicated that Nintendo showcased the Switch 2 to publishers and developers for the first time at Gamescom. Leaks propose that the console might employ an Nvidia Tegra 239 chipset without DLSS support. Speculations also suggest 1080p gameplay featuring Ray Tracing and a potential processor structured on a 5nm or 8nm node.

Today’s buzz surrounding the potential launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 later in the year is not an isolated incident. An earlier projection by an analyst hinted at a 2022 debut for the console, with an anticipated price point of $400.

    Verdict

The Nintendo Switch 2 has ignited enthusiasm among gaming aficionados as rumors and leaks provide insight into its attributes and specifications. With a larger screen anticipated and rumored improvements in processing capability, the Switch 2 could present a significant leap forward for Nintendo devotees.
