Realme has unveiled its upcoming GT 7 Pro Racing Edition, marking it as the brand’s first major launch after the 2025 Lunar New Year. Scheduled for release on February 13, this device is anticipated to be a more affordable variant of the current Realme GT 7 Pro. There are strong hints that it will be priced lower than the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro, aiming to be the least expensive phone equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
Neptune Exploration Edition Unveiled
The promotional material shared by Realme shows that the GT 7 Pro Racing Edition will come in a distinctive “Neptune Exploration” shade. This color is inspired by the stormy deep blue of Neptune, and the back of the phone showcases a unique texture made possible by Realme’s special “Zero-degree Storm AG” technique.
The overall design of this phone seems to be a slightly altered version of the Realme GT 7 Pro. While the current model boasts a triple-camera configuration on the back, the Racing Edition will feature a dual-camera setup.
Expected Specifications of the GT 7 Pro Racing Edition
Inside, the GT 7 Pro Racing Edition will be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. A recent AnTuTu benchmark showed a score of over 3 million points, indicating its potential as a top-notch gaming device. Additionally, the storage will likely be upgraded to UFS 4.1, which will provide better data transfer speeds.
The device is rumored to have a 6.78-inch Samsung 8T LTPO OLED micro-quad-curved display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 1.5K. It is expected to offer up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 1 TB of storage, and a robust 6,500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.
When compared to the regular GT 7 Pro, the Racing Edition is anticipated to lack a periscope telephoto camera. There’s also a chance that it will come with an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner instead of the ultrasonic in-display variety.
