Honor has recently unveiled the X60 GT, featuring a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor and an impressive battery capacity. Furthermore, the brand is preparing to introduce more gaming-oriented devices, with a launch event scheduled for tomorrow. While there has been some buzz around the GT Pro smartphone, there’s been less information shared about the upcoming Pad GT tablet.

    Teaser for the Pad GT

As the launch of the Pad GT approaches, Honor has provided insights into the hardware that will be included in this new gaming tablet. Notably, the Honor Pad GT will boast a substantial 10,100 mAh battery, equipped with 66 W wired fast charging, similar to several of Honor’s mid-range smartphones. In a set of new promotional images, the company has also highlighted that the Pad GT will utilize a 22,000 mm² vapor chamber cooling system to manage its battery effectively.

    Display and Performance

In terms of display, the Pad GT will feature an 11.5-inch screen with a native resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 pixels and will support a refresh rate of 144 Hz along with a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz. From the specifications that have been disclosed, it appears that the Pad GT shares a lot of the same internal components as the Honor Pad V9 that was reviewed last year. With a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset likely powering it, the Honor Pad GT may not match the performance of other Android tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE (currently priced at $419 on Amazon) and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, although it might outperform devices such as the OnePlus Pad 2. As of now, Honor hasn’t confirmed if the Pad GT will be available on a global scale.

Honor Pad GT: Upcoming Gaming Tablet with 144Hz Display

    Key Takeaways

    1. The Honor Pad GT will be officially announced on April 23 and is expected to feature sleek design and IMAX Enhanced certification.
    2. It will be available in at least two colors and includes a single rear camera with a large LED flash.
    3. The Pad GT is likely a rebranded version of the Pad V9, sharing similar specifications such as a 10,100 mAh battery, 12 GB of RAM, and a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset.
    4. The display resolution will match the Pad V9 at 2,800 x 1,840 pixels.
    5. The Honor Pad GT aims to compete in the tablet market, potentially surpassing the OnePlus Pad 2 but falling short against the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE in gaming performance.

Honor has officially announced a new tablet that will make its debut on April 23, known as the Honor Pad GT or Honor Tablet GT. Up until now, the information shared by the company is quite limited, mainly consisting of a teaser image shown below.

    Colors and Design

The Honor Pad GT is expected to come in at least two colors, both showcasing sleek display bezels. From the teaser image, it appears that the screen is also certified as IMAX Enhanced, similar to last year’s models, the Pad GT Pro and Pad V9. Interestingly, this latest tablet from Honor includes a single rear camera and a large secondary unit for its compact LED flash.

    Specifications and Features

It seems that the similarities between the Pad GT and Pad V9 go beyond just the appearance. If a screenshot that has been making rounds on Chinese social media is correct, the Pad GT is the retail name for ‘ROL-W60’, which was speculated to be a variant of the Pad V9 last year.

The specifications listed in the screenshot above suggest that the Pad GT is basically a rebranded version of the Pad V9. Specifically, the Pad GT is reported to have a 10,100 mAh battery, 12 GB of RAM, and a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, mirroring the Pad V9’s features. Additionally, the display maintains the same resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 pixels as the Pad V9. Based on our experience with the Pad V9, the combination of a Dimensity 8350 chipset and 12 GB of RAM should allow the Honor Pad GT to surpass the OnePlus Pad 2 but fall short when compared to the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE (currently priced at $419 on Amazon) in graphics-intensive activities like gaming.

    Conclusion

Honor’s latest tablet is generating buzz as we await its official reveal. With competitive specifications and a sleek design, the Honor Pad GT seems poised to make a significant impact in the tablet market.

  • Motorola Edge 60 Pro Review: Design, Specs, Camera, Battery & More

Motorola Edge 60 Pro Review: Design, Specs, Camera, Battery & More

    Key Takeaways

    1. The Motorola Edge 60 Pro features a sleek design with a 6.67-inch OLED display, curved edges, and a faux leather back, maintaining a premium look and feel.

    2. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC, with memory options ranging from 8GB to 16GB of RAM and storage options from 128GB to 1TB.

    3. The device comes with a larger 6,000mAh battery but supports slightly reduced 90W wired charging, allowing for a full charge in under an hour.

    4. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a likely telephoto lens, with a 32MP front camera for selfies.

    5. The Edge 60 Pro will offer a near-stock Android experience with features like Moto Gestures and Peek Display, although pricing and a specific launch date are still pending.

Motorola is kicking off its yearly refresh of the Edge series with the recent launch of the Edge 60 Fusion. However, there are more devices on the horizon, as two additional models are anticipated to join the lineup: the Edge 60 and the premium Edge 60 Pro.

    Design Overview

As expected, the Edge 60 Pro is the flagship of the series. Thanks to a TENAA certification from China, we have a solid idea of what to expect. The design of the Motorola Edge 60 Pro does not stray far from its predecessors. It maintains a faux leather back and features a soft-edged square camera module.

The front showcases a 6.67-inch OLED display with curved edges, which has become a signature look for the Edge line. This screen offers a sharp 1.5K resolution and includes an under-display fingerprint scanner. It appears modern and luxurious with slim bezels and a centered punch-hole for the selfie camera. The display flows seamlessly into the body, giving the device a sleek feel despite its measurements.

At a mere 7.25mm thick, the Edge 60 Pro is thinner than the typical Edge 60, which is 7.95mm. Even with a larger battery (more on that later), it tips the scales at a manageable 188 grams, just slightly heavier than the standard model. Interestingly, this Pro version includes an unfamiliar physical button not seen on earlier Motorola devices. Its purpose remains a mystery—could it be a camera shutter or a shortcut to AI features? It seems Motorola is trying something new this time.

    Performance Specs

Now, let’s discuss performance. The Edge 60 Pro will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC, reaching clock speeds of up to 3.35GHz. Memory configurations will include options of 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM, with storage capacities of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and even 1TB.

While we don’t have official benchmark scores for the Edge 60 Pro yet, other devices with this chip, like the Oppo Reno 13 5G, score around 1,134,729 on AnTuTu, alongside Geekbench 6 scores of 1324 for single-core and 4073 for multi-core. Overall, you can anticipate smooth everyday use and casual gaming without much hassle. For more details on chip performance, refer to our comprehensive Reno 13 review.

    Battery and Camera Features

Motorola appears to be making significant strides with the battery in the Edge 60 Pro. It comes equipped with a substantial 6,000mAh battery, which is an increase of 1500mAh compared to its predecessor. However, while the battery life is improving, Motorola has slightly reduced charging speeds. Instead of the 125W fast charging available on the Edge 50 Pro, the Edge 60 Pro will support 90W wired charging. Nevertheless, this should still allow for a full charge in under an hour.

We can also expect wireless charging to be included, as last year’s model had this feature as well. The camera setup boasts a 50MP main sensor, complemented by a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a third lens which is yet to be confirmed but is likely to be a telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, there is a 32MP camera on the front.

    Final Thoughts

Currently, the only missing details are the pricing and software specifics. Although Motorola has not announced a launch date, the TENAA certification typically indicates that a release is near, at least in China. A global or Indian launch may follow shortly after.

Regarding the software, Motorola has maintained a consistent approach by offering a near-stock Android experience with sensible customizations. Features like Moto Gestures, Peek Display, and selective personalization contribute to a user-friendly Android environment, and we expect the Edge 60 Pro to uphold this legacy.

  • OnePlus Pad Pro Specs Leak: Confusing Name Details Inside

OnePlus Pad Pro Specs Leak: Confusing Name Details Inside

The OnePlus Pad 2 represents the global variant of the OnePlus Pad Pro that is available in China. This new tablet is also the next version of the original OnePlus tablet, the OnePlus Pad, which currently retails for $399 on Amazon. Recently, information has surfaced regarding another OnePlus tablet aimed at the Chinese market, and based on its specifications, it will be placed below the OnePlus Pad Pro in the lineup.

    Naming Confusion

Although the official name is not yet confirmed, many are calling it the OnePlus Pad, which makes sense considering its lower performance compared to the pro version. However, this creates some confusion, as there’s already a product with the exact same name.

    Specifications Revealed

Details about the new tablet were shared on Weibo by well-known leaker Digital Chat Station. According to this information, the tablet will feature an 11.6-inch screen with a resolution of 2800 × 2000. It’s an LCD display that supports a refresh rate of 144Hz.

The leaker also indicates that the OnePlus Pad will utilize MediaTek‘s Dimensity 8350 processor. It will sport an 8MP camera on both the front and back, and will come equipped with a 9,520mAh battery, which supports fast 67W wired charging.

    Similarities to Oppo Pad 3

If these specs sound familiar, it’s because they match those of the recently released Oppo Pad 3. This suggests that the OnePlus Pad could simply be a rebranded version of that device, possibly with a few slight modifications. There’s also a chance it could have a global launch, potentially serving as a successor to the OnePlus Pad Go or even as the first R-series tablet, possibly named the OnePlus Pad 2R.

The new OnePlus Pad is anticipated to be revealed along with the OnePlus Ace 5 series, which is likely to be announced later this month. More information about this device should emerge before the official announcement.
