Lenovo unveiled the Legion Y700 4th Generation yesterday, presenting a new compact Android tablet that stands out with its 165 Hz display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Given its previous releases, this tablet may be available worldwide later this year, aiming to take the place of the recently reviewed Legion Tab Gen 3.

    Innovative Accessory for Gaming

While the Legion Tab Gen 4 is the highlight of the announcement, Lenovo has also provided full details about an exciting accessory that turns it into a handheld gaming device. In a twist from initial teasers, Lenovo has rolled out two versions, named the Legion Game Controller G9 and G9 Pro, which are available in China.

The two versions, as shown in the image below, come equipped with Hall effect joysticks and triggers, along with customizable RGB light strips for added flair. Interestingly, both the G9 and G9 Pro include trigger switches that allow users to adjust the responsiveness of the triggers. Additionally, the accessory features four macro buttons on the back, designed to fit comfortably in hand.

    Enhanced Features in G9 Pro

Furthermore, the G9 Pro boasts a more advanced haptic feedback system and optical ABXY buttons. Early images of the Legion Tab Gen 4 fitted within the G9 have been shared online. This combination could position Lenovo’s newest tablet to rival dedicated Android gaming devices like the Ayn Odin2 (currently priced at $449 on Amazon). However, it is still unclear if Lenovo plans to release the G9 or G9 Pro internationally at this time.
