Samsung has introduced two brand-new soundbars at CES 2025: the QS700F and the Q990F. These new models come with multiple improvements compared to earlier versions like the Q990D (currently priced at $1,997.99 on Amazon).
Innovative Features
The HW-QS700F is unique as it doesn’t have a direct predecessor. It incorporates an integrated gyro sensor that’s designed to optimize sound based on where the soundbar is located. Additionally, it includes a small wireless subwoofer that enhances bass performance. On the other hand, the HW-Q990F stands as Samsung’s top-tier model, featuring an impressive 11.1.4 channel setup with Dolby Atmos support. Similar to the QS700F, it also includes a wireless subwoofer along with two rear satellite speakers.
Versatile Setup Options
Both soundbars allow for flexible installation, whether mounted on a wall or set on a media unit. They are equipped with features like Active Voice Amplifier Pro, which aims to improve dialogue clarity. Moreover, Q-Symphony Pro helps balance sound between the built-in speakers of compatible TVs and external ones. A notable addition is the new Eclipsa Audio, which Samsung developed in collaboration with Google. This free alternative to Dolby Atmos provides 3D spatial audio capabilities, letting creators manipulate audio elements such as intensity and position. However, Samsung has not yet disclosed the pricing or release dates for the HW-QS700F and HW-Q990F soundbars.
