Oppo to Host Dual Find-Series Flagship Events in Spring and Fall

Reports indicate that Oppo is set to unveil several flagship smartphones in China during the first half of 2025. Today, Zhou Yibao, the Product Manager for the Find series, shared that the Find series will adopt a more consistent release pattern, planning flagship launch events every spring and autumn.

    Dual Launch Events Planned

Although he didn’t reveal the specific names of the upcoming Find series devices, the spring event is expected to showcase the Find N5 and Find X8 Ultra. In China, spring typically lasts from March to May.

Yibao confirmed that the Find N5 will be the first to launch, followed by a separate event for the Find X8 Ultra. Recent reports suggest that the Find N5 is set to debut in March 2025, while the Find X8 Ultra and X8 Mini will be introduced in April 2025, with the Find X8S launching sometime in April or May 2025.

    Upcoming Autumn Releases

The autumn event will be the stage for the next-generation Find X-series models. China’s autumn season runs from September through November and could see the introduction of the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro in 2025.

As per tipster Digital Chat Station, the Find N5 has completed its filing and is preparing for its launch. It is said to come with exciting features like a periscope lens, wireless charging, satellite communication, and an IPX8 waterproof rating. The X-axis motor is also set to be refined, and the screen is said to be larger compared to its predecessor, the Find N3. When folded, it will look like a slightly bulkier version of the Find X8, focusing on being lightweight and slim.

Features of the Find X8 Ultra

Moreover, it was mentioned that the Find X8 Ultra will boast telephoto macro abilities. Currently, the camera interface in the engineering model can utilize the telephoto lens for super macro images; however, the image quality is somewhat subpar. Digital Chat Station isn’t sure if other lens algorithms will be incorporated, so he prefers to wait for the production model before making further comments. The other two models have been tested without any issues, likely referring to the Find X8 Mini and Find X8S.

Oppo Find X8 Ultra and Mini Launching Together, Plus X8s Coming Soon

Oppo is gearing up to unveil several flagship phones in its Find series during the first half of 2025. Recent leaks have shed light on the upcoming Find N5 foldable phone, along with the Find X8 Ultra, Find X8 Mini (or Find X8 Next), and the newly discovered Find X8s, thanks to insider Digital Chat Station. Here’s a glimpse into what these upcoming devices might offer.

Expected Launch Dates for Oppo Find X8 Ultra and Find X8

According to the leak, Digital Chat Station shared insights about the design of the Oppo Find X8 Ultra and mentioned that both the Find X8 Mini and Ultra versions are set to launch together. In addition, earlier information from the same source indicated that the Find X8 Ultra will make its debut after the Find N5 foldable phone launches in China in February. Therefore, it’s likely that both the Find X8 Ultra and the X8 Mini could hit the market in March 2025. The tipster also noted that the brand has plans to introduce the Find X8s, though the specific timing for its release remains uncertain. It appears to be a minor upgrade over the Find X8.

Design Features of the Oppo Find X8 Ultra

As for the design of the Find X8 Ultra, the tipster noted that it hasn’t changed much compared to the Find X8 Pro. According to the latest leak, the X8 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.82-inch BOE X2 2K resolution display with a micro-quad-curved design. Previous leaks suggest that its display may be similar to that of the OnePlus 13. The device will have a metal middle frame with smooth transitions and a prominent circular camera module at the back. The camera setup resembles that of the Find X8 Pro, but the camera bumps will be more pronounced due to the inclusion of a one-inch sensor along with dual periscope lenses. Remarkably, the device is anticipated to be thinner than expected. For reference, the Find X7 Ultra measured 9.5mm in thickness and weighed 221 grams. The X8 Ultra is likely to be both slimmer and lighter than its predecessor.
