    5. Currently, there are no plans for the Vivo X200 FE to be available outside India, prompting potential buyers to consider alternatives like the Galaxy S25 or Pixel 9 Pro.

Following an April report that Vivo was creating a new device in the Vivo X200 lineup named the Vivo X200 FE, a new leak has disclosed full specifications and the release date of this upcoming compact flagship. This information comes from Yogesh Brar, who has collaborated with Smartprix to share the main specs of the Vivo X200 FE, which are reportedly based on the confirmed version for mass production.

    Display and Performance

The Vivo X200 FE is set to feature a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 1.5K. The phone will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ chipset, but sources indicate that Vivo might replace this with the yet-to-be-released Dimensity 9400e, a refined version of the Dimensity 9300+. Vivo is expected to release the X200 FE in two configurations — one with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and another with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The device is expected to run on Android 15 out of the box, along with promises of three Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates.

The Vivo X200 FE is likely to launch in India in July and will be offered in two color options. Its price is anticipated to range between ₹50,000 and ₹60,000. Currently, there are no reports of the phone being available outside India, unlike the upcoming OnePlus 13s. Consumers in other locations who are interested in a compact Android flagship will have to consider alternatives like the Galaxy S25 or Pixel 9 Pro (currently available on Amazon for $799).

The Reno14 is a smartphone that seems to look even more like an iPhone compared to the previous model.

While the Reno13 was equipped with the Dimensity 8350 chip, rumors suggest that the Reno14 will come with even more advanced specifications, as indicated by a recent leak.

    New Processor Insights

  • Meizu Note 16 Specs and Live Shots Leak Before Launch, Fans Disappointed

Meizu Note 16 Specs and Live Shots Leak Before Launch, Fans Disappointed

    Key Takeaways

    1. The launch of the Meizu Note 16 smartphone series has been delayed from April to May 2023.
    2. The design features a flat screen, an octagonal camera module with a gold finish, and a simple orange leather texture on the back.
    3. It is rumored to have a 6.78-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a dual-camera system, including a 50-megapixel main camera.
    4. The device will be powered by a Unisoc T765 chipset, offer 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and have a 6,550mAh battery with 40W fast charging.
    5. The expected price of the Meizu Note 16 is around 999 Yuan (approximately $140).

Official teasers that Meizu shared back in March indicated that the Meizu Note 16 smartphone series would be launched in April in China. However, new reports have pointed out that the release has been pushed back to May. Recently, live images of the phone, along with some important specs, have surfaced on Weibo. Let’s check out what we can expect from this device.

    Design of Meizu Note 16

The design of the Meizu Note 16 shows a flat screen on the front and an octagonal camera module that has a gold finish. The back panel is covered in a simple orange leather texture. This design seems to draw inspiration from the flagship look of the Honor Magic 7 series. Although the leaked image suggests there might be a triple-camera setup with a ring-shaped LED flash, the Meizu Note 16 actually only has a dual-camera system.

Rumored Specifications of Meizu Note 16

According to leaks, the Meizu Note 16 is set to come with a 6.78-inch LCD display that offers an FHD+ resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels. On the front, it will sport an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The rear camera arrangement includes a 50-megapixel main camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary lens. The device will operate on Android 15, layered with Flyme 12 AI OS.

Performance and Battery of Meizu Note 16

Inside, the Meizu Note 16 will be powered by the Unisoc T765, a chipset that supports 5G connectivity. It will come with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage. Additionally, it features a substantial 6,550mAh battery with 40W fast charging capabilities. Overall, it looks to be priced around 999 Yuan (approximately $140).

Given this design and these specifications, it’s puzzling why Meizu has delayed the launch. Now that Meizu is under the umbrella of DreamSmart Meizu, a smartphone company supported by Geely, the focus for Geely may be more on improving in-car experiences rather than boosting Meizu’s mobile market presence.

    5. The P50 Mini has a 5,000mAh battery that charges at up to 10 watts and weighs approximately 12 oz.

Teclast is expanding its range of tablets with a new addition. The P50 Mini is designed to be small and lightweight, mainly appealing to those looking for an affordable option rather than high-end performance. However, the company has not yet disclosed its official price or when it will be available for purchase.

    Display and Resolution

We do know that the P50 Mini comes equipped with an 8.68-inch IPS screen that has a 90Hz refresh rate, but the resolution is only 1340 x 800 pixels, which is considered to be quite low. Although the display is small, it may not provide a very sharp viewing experience.

    Performance Specs

In terms of performance, the Unisoc T606 processor is not the most powerful choice, featuring two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. This chipset is combined with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The tablet operates on Android 15 from the start and includes Widevine L1 support, making it suitable for streaming HD content from platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

  • Android 15 Requires Minimum 32GB Storage for Phones

Android 15 Requires Minimum 32GB Storage for Phones

    Key Takeaways

    1. Minimum storage requirement for Android 15 is now 32GB, with 75% reserved for user data and apps.
    2. Devices with less than 2GB of RAM cannot run Android 15; those with 2GB or 3GB must use low RAM optimizations.
    3. New chipsets must support Vulkan 1.3 or later and include ANGLE libraries instead of OpenGL ES drivers.
    4. Devices using the AOSP version won’t be certified and will lack access to Google services like the Play Store.
    5. Users must have the option to share contact info with Emergency Location Service, with OEMs required to provide clear notices.

Google has updated the minimum RAM and storage needs for Android devices with version 15. These updates are specifically for Android 15 smartphones that come with Google’s Mobile Services (GMS).

    New Storage Standards

For the first time since 2022, the minimum storage requirement has increased to at least 32GB, with 75% of that space set aside for user data and applications. Reports from Android Authority mention that devices with less than 2GB of RAM will not be able to run the new operating system.

    RAM and Chipset Requirements

Devices boasting 2GB or 3GB of RAM must implement Android’s low RAM optimizations to achieve certification. Meanwhile, devices with 4GB of RAM or more have the option to adopt these optimizations. Furthermore, Google mandates that new chipsets must be compatible with Vulkan 1.3 or later.

    Graphics and Legacy Support

Devices operating on Android 15 are required to include the Almost Native Graphics Layer Engine (ANGLE) libraries instead of the older OpenGL ES drivers. This change allows newer devices that lack OpenGL support to still run older applications.

There is an alternative available: devices that utilize the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) version of the OS can still launch devices that do not meet these system requirements. However, these devices will not receive certification or access to essential Google applications like the Google Play Store.

    User Privacy and Transparency

Alongside these new hardware standards, smartphones must give users the choice to share their contact information with Android’s Emergency Location Service (ELS). Google also requires that original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) provide clear notices regarding the information shared with this service.

  • OnePlus 13 Android 16 Preview: New Charging Limit Slider Added

OnePlus 13 Android 16 Preview: New Charging Limit Slider Added

    Key Takeaways

    1. OnePlus 13 is receiving positive feedback for its adaptation to Android 15 and OxygenOS update.
    2. A new charging limit feature may allow users to set limits at 85%, 90%, 95%, or 100%.
    3. The enhanced battery management will help monitor rapid charging from the SuperVOOC power brick.
    4. OnePlus has not officially confirmed these features in the Android 16 Beta 2 changelog.
    5. Users are advised against installing the beta due to instability issues, including unexpected restarts during calls.

The OnePlus 13 has garnered significant acclaim for its approach to Android 15 so far. It appears that the upcoming major update to its OxygenOS software could be even more captivating.

    New Charging Feature

An “unofficial OnePlus System Apps channel on Telegram” suggests that this update may introduce a revamped version of the charging limit feature, which stops charging at a certain percentage, like 80%. Users of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra might recognize this functionality.

OnePlus is purportedly enhancing its feature with a software slider that lets users select a Charging Limit of 85%, 90%, 95%, or even 100%.

    Enhanced Battery Management

The supposedly more adaptable addition to the Battery Health settings on the 13 could be particularly beneficial, since the device’s wired charging can be challenging to monitor over time due to its extremely rapid up-to-100W SuperVOOC power brick (which can be found on Amazon, just so you know).

However, OnePlus hasn’t officially acknowledged this feature in its own Android 16 Beta 2 changelog. The company advises users against installing the beta unless they are highly interested in the development of the OS, as this version is reportedly so unstable that it might restart unexpectedly during a call on a Bluetooth headset.
